I think that besides being a regular player another requirement should be that you’ve been playing on the server for over a year (maybe more?) as that would definitely be helpful against possible abuse of the command. As others already said you should be required to have video evidence before starting a vote

this is a good suggestion it takes like 3 hours or 4 hours max for a mod to join if the server pop is low and ban a cheater ruining the server for everybody +1

This is a great suggestion and should be taken into consideration. If given to "Trusted Players" I got a few people in mind that are always on and reliable example: Vuitton$ for starters.
I don't know how the scripting scale will go about it whether its easy for mike or the development team. But this will be something useful to add in the future.

yea but when we realize its patchy everyone just automatically assumes its something stupid

How do we fight back? With a group of friends or a small clan that has the ability to kick legitimate players they dislike by using /votekick together.
And a kicked cheater will return later with more hostility.

I think this feature already existed in the beginning of the server but was removed due to abuse
Maybe we should only allow helper/tester to start this vkte

Can't we log the votes? Besides we can report if someone abuses it and staff can implement harsh punishment so people don't do it.
Or
Make it compulsory for players to attach their discord account to play mcnr. Cheaters can make new mcnr account in 1-2 minutes but making new discord account is a lengthy process and has limitations.
