Camping at server spawn points to kill a player is a punishable offence.
Valid reasons to attack/kill other players are explained in the 'Deathmatching' rules category.
Do not use cheats, hacks, exploits, or other similar means of gaining an unfair advantage over other players using software.
Mods that change the way a feature functions, changes a model, or provides an advantage, are not allowed.
A list of allowed mods can be found at mikescnr.com/mods. If in doubt, don't use it, and ask staff for clarification.
This includes bugs/glitches/exploits in GTA, SAMP, and MCNR. Includes c-bug, two-shot, slide bug, ninja jacking, and other non-intentional 'gameplay mechanics'.
Exploitable issues should be reported privately (not in public) to staff so they can be promptly fixed. You may be rewarded!
This includes (but is not limited to) quitting to avoid arrest, damage, death, loss of progress/assets, and similar.
If you place a bounty on someone, you've asked others to kill them. If you then kill them yourself, you're wasting the time/weapons of others.
The valid reasons for placing a bounty on a player are the same valid reasons for attacking/killing a player. See the 'Deathmatching' rules category for more information.
Everyone just wants to have fun.
Players are only permitted to play on a single account. Multiple accounts may be deleted without warning, and/or stats (cash/score/etc) may be reset, also without warning.
Bans are generally based on account. Evading a ban by changing IP and name is strictly forbidden and will result in a permanent ban.
Circumventing censors is not permitted.
An account is for an individual user, and passwords or secret questions should not be shared.
MCNR is supposed to be fun, and we want a friendly enrivonment for everyone to enjoy.
Be nice, say sorry.
Spamming/flooding is disruptive to other players and is annoying - don't do it.
This includes sending server addresses (IP/hostname), websites/links, or other means of finding a server or its community.
While we don't really like censorship, it's sometimes necessary to keep the peace.
Discussion of the following is discouraged:
Politics, religion, war etc.
Discussion of the following is outright forbidden:
Drug use (in reality), piracy, any other illegal activity.
Staff have a hard time dealing with rule breakers, and deserve some respect. Do not have arguments with staff. If you feel mistreated, submit a staff complaint through the correct channels.
Set your /chatroom to Non-English language if you wish to speak to players in another language.
Bugs or glitches that can be exploited should be reported in private to managers to log and deal with.
Lethal force should only be used for known threats that are a risk to life.
Police should patrol the city, not stalk players.
This includes obstructing using vehicles, roadblock objects etc.
Roadblocks should be placed in a way that innocent players are not impeded or prevented from passing through.
For example, do not steal player's vehicles, unless needed urgently for chasing a suspect.
This mostly refers to camping in or around the banks, and near PD evidence lockers.
Cops should not work with criminals in any way. This includes riding in the same vehicle, unless taking to jail.
Suspects may momentarily enter a police officer's vehicle to settle a bribe.
That's just a dick move.
Also, do not constantly go after the same player because you have a vendetta.
You should be targetting everyone equally.
This includes medic/fire.
Once a suspect is cuffed, they should be auto-arrested immediately or driven to jail. Do not draw out this process unnecessarily.
Escaped players get a 5-star wanted level but have no weapons; they are non-threats. Do not attack
Medics are permitted to provide medical services to criminals. Police officers should not obstruct them.
Medics and firefighters are a neutral party and should not attack players.
An exception is made when someone is a threat to life (yours or others).
You should not reject providing services, unless you're incapable of doing so in that moment.
Medics and firefighters are netural and should provide services equally to cops and criminals.
Medics treating criminals is not a 'crime'.
Medics should never work with criminals, for example being ready to heal them outside the bank at their request.
Medics may travel with cops but only to provide medical services.
Medics should never travel with civilians while on duty.
For example, do not get caught up in the middle of a gunfight.
Medics should hold back and only provide medical services in safe environments to avoid taking damage.
