I like the new UI and I don't mind AI being used (as long as it's not abused and properly polished, which is WIP right now) but I understand the transparency concerns as well, even though I've always resented the cesspit that the old Complaints section was (and the forum in general has been becoming, sadly).
With that said, I can say this:
- the internal guidelines should be as liberal as possible when it comes to the pre-screening thing; I have personally made a point of approving posts critical of management decisions (otherwise what's the point of a feedback panel in the first place?!)
- ideally, we need is a carefully calibrated balance between transparency and heavy staff moderation aimed at impartial enforcement of the current rules, as opposed to flame wars and running around in circles;
- we can accommodate both with the newly introduced engine, but we are yet to recalibrate it to become a bit more transparent.
The final decision is, of course, up to Mike, but here's my two cents if anyone still wants to hear an oldtimer.
