It's same thing as drugs, If you won't help someone in time It'll be too late, I struggled with game addiction myself (and still kinda do and feel obligated to help others in this issue). Instead of silencing/ignoring people and endorsing self destructive behavior have some balls and prevent someone from ruining their life
The very least you can do is make a list of people who clearly play too much, and give them periodical gameplay restrictions and weekly mental health checks. It's Flores now, but in future It may be your child.
