Army soldiers RANK 5 not being able to place spike strip

What exactly were you doing, with who, where etc.:I have tried using an unmarked/regular police vehicle. I'm not able to place a spike even though my rank is 5.
What did you expect to happen, and what actually happened? What is the bug?To properly be able to deploy the spike strip with the shortcut considering all conditions are met. (See the screen)
Have others experienced the issue?There wasn't any other high ranked soldiers at the time.
Have you experienced the issue multiple times?Yes
Can you replicate the issue? If so, please provide steps to do so.Go to PD's, enter police vehicles and try deploying a spike trip from your vehicle using the shortcut.
Can you think of any special circumstances that might have caused the issue?The solider class was recently implemented, could be the reason why this feature is not working as intended to.

Ok so I just reviewed the code and it looks like it specifically checks your 'cop' job rank, not your 'current job' job rank. But surely you're level 10 cop to become army??

You also can't use GTFO as a sub level 8 armyman

Exactly, all soldiers have already achieved rank 10 in the police class. I believe the issue could be that the check returns a negative result (prior to checking the rank) when the current job is anything other than police.
