Honestly, it feels like certain staff members are so bored they have to invent problems just to feel busy. This wasn’t even an issue until yesterday. I totally get racist and hateful names being rejected but dumb??

There is a reason why you can join and register while being named let's say JonathanBarnaclesTheFish and nobody will change it, cause that's a fully appropriate name. Well you can also join as Hitler.1337, but still If the game allows and It doesn't hurt anyone keep it like that.

Just stfu and let us have any type of name except the hateful ones. Rejecting names for being dumb is a dumb move itself people use dumb name for fun it's a joke, satire. Stop creating problems cause you don't have anything to do lol.

And for names of politicians people use it in a form of joke too.
There are countless memes around politicians worldwide. Most of the people see them as clowns and use their names to make fun of the politicians and to mock the politicians in their friend group. Ex if I name mysef as Rahul_Gandhi who's a Indian politician no one should have any problem he says dumb stuff sometimes and we see him as a clown and if I name mysef after him in game there should not be any issues.
Of course there can be some exceptions like Hitler.1337

What's more dumb? A dumb name, or a guy staying in operations manager position after breaking all the staff rules known to mcnr-kind? I'll make an apology post for this later.

+1 to the suggestion. Mike approved a namechange to Hitler.1337, now that is very offensive if not dumb, the game is 18+, please do not login if you are not ok being exposed to adult content. This game has sex shops and openly promotes murder, theft, violence. The dumb thing here is saying that children play this game, not my problem. I was also a child when I started playing this game but never did I ever cry because I went to a sex shop.

Also, name changes are easily trackable and it's not possible to hide just by changing your name. Please DM me if you want to find the previous name of someone.

Yeah we all can agree that hitler.1337 is not acceptable but that is the exception not make every name that "does not sound human" not accepted.

Who defines decent? Cause I don't want anyone to define what's decent for me. Also, it's really good people fighting for this since their rights are being taken away.

Completely agree with Jimmy jams, everyone should have every right to change their name by their own choice unless it is offensive, but offensive and mocking are two different things and most of the guys here won't even care what name a player uses unless they are in beef with the same person.
If Mike allows rainbow 🌈 then changing name isn't that bad at all.

After reviewing the commentary here I have decided to revoke my decision on 'dumb names'.

Names will still be subject to review as per normal, however are now more likely to be accepted.

If names are blantantly offensive, or break the terms & conditions of the server / Discord they will be denied.
