I suggest to at least try looking for a reloading animation that doesn't prevent the player from walking / running.
If not possible, then I totally agree on its removal, because it's really frustrating when you've been playing SA-MP for 12 years (more than half of my life) and in one specific server your character just stops running when you switch weapons.
To me, it was a major factor to almost deciding to not play on MCNR. I changed my mind when I tried the cop features.

My idea would be to only apply the reload animation to weapons that benefit the most from them.
Some weapons like M4 and UZI already have lots of ammo, so applying an animation to them really serves such a little purpose.
But weapons like Sawn Off and Spaz 12 or even Deagle, having no reload animation(by quick switching) on these guns makes them OP.
We should keep the reload animation on these weapons that can be abused and remove the animation for all other guns.
NO! Its ok to them who uses these on pro guns. Yeah if its added to those pro guns then it needs to be removed from all of the guns except those pro guns like Deagle, Sawn off etc. pro guns.
Ok so this is my stance on the weapon reloading animation (and other 'bug abuses'):
The ability to bypass a weapon's reload animation by switching weapon away and back again is unrealistic and unfair. If another player doesn't know that this 'trick' exists, they don't stand a chance. The reload animation takes less than 2 seconds and it isn't that big of a detrement. It's just the same animation as if you depleted all your ammo from the current clip. The animation only applied if you switch weapon and then back again within 2 seconds, as this is how long it would take anyway. It applies to all bullet-based guns apart from sniper and country rifle (as they have a bolt-action animation after every shot).
I will not be removing the animation. I would love to improve it so you can still walk/run while it's being played, but it's simply not possible with the SA-MP API. If I did, you'd be able to press the FIRE key to skip the animation, making it completely useless. In addition to this, there's two ways the animation can be applied: either the player gets frozen in that spot and can't move at all, or they continue moving if they are already moving. Both of these are not ideal but they are the only option.
I will do some more research and testing to see if the animation can be improved but it's unlikely that I am going to be able to improve it. Honestly, how often are people swapping weapons then back again within 2 seconds that this actually causes a problem? It's working exactly as intended in that it's preventing people from reload switching. If you don't want to see the animation, don't try and reload switch, simple.
I know it's not a 'bug', but I still think it's a sneaky trick that shouldn't be allowed. While I value community suggestions, I have the final say, and I don't want to remove this. I would ideally want to make it so if you have 1 bullet left and you switch away and back again, it still has 1 bullet in the clip, but this sadly isn't possible. One potential solution I could consider is to make the animation only apply if you shoot X+ bullets, e.g. more than 10 bullets from a clip it will require a reload, whereas less will not. This however still allows abuse, as you could shoot 10 bullets, reload switch, shooting 10 bullets, reload switch, repeat forever, and have unlimited fire rate.
Every game has things which can put you in a vulnerable situation. You have to reload in Call of Duty during which you are fully vulnerable. Nobody complains about this and asks IW/Treyarch to remove reload animations, do they? You can't switch to your pistol and back again to instantly reload..
Also, I have the same stance for actual 'bug abuse' such as c-bug and 2 shot etc. in that they should not be allowed. How is a new player supposed to compete with someone shooting rapid-fire never-reloading guns?! It's absurd. People might say 'That's how the game was designed' - we change multiple things in SAMP/MCNR, what makes the gun mechanics different? Some will say 'But people are used to it' - oh well, get used to this.

The problem is not that you are reloading and can't shoot; the problem is that while you reload your character just stops walking for 1 second, in which in 99 percent of the cases you get shot, maybe with a sawn-off shotgun, and sometimes you die right there. It's very easy to accidentally trigger the animation, especially if you DM the "SA-MP way", switching between sawn-off shotgun and mac-10 many times.
In my opinion, even making that the weapon is automatically holstered would be better than blocking the player from moving.

As I said, that is out of my control. It's either freeze the player or force them to walk off a cliff in a straight line.
Lets be real, if a player messes up with reload, hes instantly dead, I encounter alot players, who fall for that, and it feels bad to see them die like that, I'd rather want it to be challenge to kill players who are reloading, like atleast, make people run when they reload, otherwise people just lurk and wait till people reload, and then take their sniper shot.
I got a bug or something on it... If we don't switch weapons (that are used)in 5+ seconds then we don't see the reload animation.

It was meant to be that way.
