Forum dark mode (finally...)

I will fix it later I know why it’s broken

there are not chance to get old forums back?

Looks cool, at last we got it! It would be nice if you could put dividers in the forum categories on the index page so they are easier to read.

"Borders" are missing from pretty much everywhere and sometimes you really have to struggle to see something, other than that, a change is good - my 2 cents!

EDIT: I am also seeing the 'reputation' system gone and now a fellow individual can finally get a life and will stop joining the forums daily to literally give me bad rep just because I reported him for admin impersonation. Good job, really!

Imo,even if the green dots could be replaced with colored icons would be much easier to notice new posts.

Agree, dividers would look great. It just looks like a giant blob right now.

- Sometimes the HR line doesn't appear which divides posts.

I have made some improvements:

- The purple colour used for links is now slightly brighter, to help with contrast.
- There are now dividers between boards on the index.
- Category headers on the main page now have a background color, with white text.
- Fixed there only being dividers between some of the posts within topics.
- Board icons now turn from grey to white when there are new posts within a board, instead of the green dot in the corner.
- User info to the left of posts now has a vertical separation line.

I still have some issues I'm struggling to fix, and some other things to improve on. Thank you for the feedback so far.

You might not see some or all of these changes unless you clear your browser cache (Ctrl+F5).

Remaining issues:
- Text input boxes show as white on some devices/browsers (unable to replicate).
- Empty lines on board index at bottom of category (couldn't for the life of me style it separately to the other lines).
- Bad spacing/padding of dividers between posts within a topic.
- Some older images need updating, like the BBCode images in the post editor.
- Not all profile icons show as a circle: I won't 'fix' this. I recommend everyone uses square avatars to make them look good.

The code tag has white box

Locked/sticky posts now look a bit better on the topic list.

Sticky topics have a purple strip at the left side:

Locked topics will have a darker background:

Topics that are both locked and stickied will have both of these visuals:

Also, some more bars have backgrounds, like those above topics:

All text on dark backgrounds is now white instead of grey.

The spoiler tags have black text instead of white.

Fixed (and red button/border) 🙂

Fixed sticky/locked icon overlaps:

That wasn't even an issue I created - it's always been like that..

Nice work Mike , but can u add a button to turn lights on ? 🙂

No, because it means I have to maintain two themes. It means all edits I make I have to make in two places. I’m sure the percentage of people that want light mode is tiny. Dark mode is life.
