Would it make the community feel more at ease, if for the foreseeable future the Operations Team which consists of Lancerb1, Mafiahunter, Mike, and myself did the hiring? As at the current stage it's more managers.
With strong evidence, which I will be happy to provide to you in private, I have reasons to believe that the current standards for the hiring process are too low nowadays and the community is not happy about it especially due to the fact that if the wrong people are in staff, our sensitive information is at risk and our general gameplay might be ruined as well (I have 0 infractions for a few months or so, and 2 mods and an admin are
always /spec-ing me for absolutely no reason for several minutes while I am in game, they got my IP, chatlogs, PMs too).
I knew suixide/dio/whatever was overdoz from the very beginning and the people who hired him didn't? I am sure many people had the same suspicion. How come some regular players can distinguish such things easier than the people who hired him?
I am not saying everyone in the current management is bad. But the thing is, and I am sure others will agree, that most of the times there were made some poor decisions in the hiring part from the very beginning of the year.
To give you a hint: Just look how many people got hired this year then they either left or got kicked a bit later on. What is this? When you hire some guy, you need to be sure at least 90% sure that he is the right man for the job and somehow trust him (after maybe watching him and his behaviour for quite a while), not kick him out a few days later for some stupidity.
The whole ping-pong game just looks stupid to me. And from my perspective, most of the times people got hired just because they "got friends in high places". It also seemed to me like their position were promised. Not everyone has the skills or is right for such a position. Being a staff member requires dedication, being trustful and have some common sense in certain ways.
So tl;dr, I will be happy if only the Operations Team could really put the effort for the next "hirings".
