Mentioning someone right after he disconnects messes up the mention

In-game Name:Veteran950
Date and time (UTC) of incident:2024-10-07T06:48
Script version and build:2.1.5 2cd9dd8
What exactly were you doing, with who, where etc.:I mentioned someone right after he crashed, and the mention showed my name instead of giving an error message saying no one has that specific ID.
What did you expect to happen, and what actually happened? What is the bug?Should've given an error instead.
Have others experienced the issue?Probably
Have you experienced the issue multiple times?First time.
Can you replicate the issue? If so, please provide steps to do so.Mention someone right after he disconnects (Probably less than a second).
Can you think of any special circumstances that might have caused the issue? He got crashed before I pressed enter and the mention got messed up.

No player ID found

Is there difference between 1-2 seconds?
Yeah it is rare to happen, I’ll try to replicate with 1 seconds if i could to.

Probably? Otherwise, the server would notify that there's no player with that specific ID, or I guess it's too rare to happen. And after seeing the footage again, it was like around 1 second gap when he crashed

I think this is happening because there is 50 in your name and you pinged @50 id but he left so id 50 does not exist and it check for names containing 50

Yesterday i tried to ping id 9 and he left and the server pinged you

Maybe it works like this

Input:@9 bitch

If id 9 present, ping id 9
Else
Ping name containing 9

Noticed that if you mention a player ID "6" and another guy has similar thing in his name such as 6 or ping it is mentioning him, Even tho it should say "ID not found".

Yes it is, But i had to replicate and to make sure that it does yes?

Anyway thanks for reporting.
This has absolutely nothing to do with the timing. That makes no sense. It's because if it doesn't find a player based on their ID, it falls back to checking their name. That's why it found you - you have that number in your name. This is not a bug, you just don't understand the logic behind it.
