Move ingame names changes to forum

Simple, make a forum thread where you can post to change your ingame name instead of having to join and wait for someone to accept your name.

I don't really understand why this isnt on the forums to begin with

+1. i dont know who my ingame friends are tbh, they have identity crisis and change names every month

i think having this on forums would help keep track of that

THIS. But yeah, I get that some people might want privacy so it's not that big of a deal. My suggestion here would be to keep add a "previous names" section for the people that were on your friend list at the time of name change, BUT ask the namechange requester whether they'd like to keep the name change private. If so, the friend list will then be wiped out (silently or publicly). If not, the friends will be notified and then be able to see the person's previous names in /info or some such.

Alternatively, perhaps we can get a UCP for these kinds of things?
