It did not have any effect because the one that you were shooting wasn't using the same skin as the one you were using. If he was using the skin you were using, you would not even been able to damage him at all. Let's say I made every skin wider would you still call it "Have No Advantages"?
Just because something is client sided (mods) doesn't mean it can't give you server wide advantage. If you can modify car models to go through textures then you clearly can fuck with skins a lot. Simple as that, Patchy visit a doctor
