Why not use an NPC similar to the bank vault guard, but placed at the start/end of corridors, and next to secure doors? They can be used as sentries to start the heist, make police aware, and make the invaders suspects.

I don't think that would be a good idea only because of the location of the island at the moment. If it was moved to be in the 'ocean' rather than a river, that would be really good though.
