Idea(s) about getting taxed for your money

Many people from the community have plenty of money and there's no way for them to ever get close to being "poor" again.

To improve the MCNR economy, I have 2 ideas - only 1 can be chosen, though.

To put it simple:

1. Not being able to keep more than 50k in your $wallet - anything that you earn more than that, it will get deposited into the bank account. It will be also more realistic since having 50m in your wallet like many people do right now, it's not realistic at all.
How it's gonna work? Easy. If you have 50k already in your wallet, but you complete a 100k cargo, the money from the cargo will be deposited into your bank account. This might be the quickest way to sort out things, but it will require some tweaks here and there, I am sure of it. Testing too.

This way, the current tax system can do its work (tax everything after 5m) and no further changes will be made. MAYBE, if it's too overpowered (I think it will be a bit), nerf the current tax system, but not so much, but make it so that if you really work for your money, you can still be wealthy. But you are lazy, you will get taxed and won't have so much money.

2. Add wealth taxes based on your /worth

My 2 cents.
I think this is a band-aid solution to the problem that once you gain enough wealth, you can basically NOT become poor again unless you actively spend all of your money.

I think players should have ways of taking money from something else other than the server, which in mcnr it basically does not exist. Robbing someone for $50k when they are holding 80 million in hand is laughable. There is nothing to do on mcnr once you reach a certain threshold with money, other than buy some houses and buy useless cars that go unused. So why not have a way of recycling the money to other players?

Add a way for players to actually do the R part in CNR (ROBBERS) and be able to steal other players money. Maybe their houses could be deposited into, and that could be robbed for some amount. There needs to be a way for players to actually rob something other than the server. Also, add a percentage (like 15% up to like 500k - 1m) to /rob. This would actually give a reason to not hold your money in your hand.

In my opinion having the server take a cut of your money is much more annoying than having someone steal it. Wouldn't a wealth tax just incentivize rich players not to play at all so they don't get taxed?

How about ideas on actually being able to SPEND your money in a meaningful way?

If I could give this thing a negative number of stars, I would. I'm all for taxation but PLEASE let's start going about it by giving us more ways to actually enjoy the fruit of our grind instead of coming up with ways of taking away hard-earned cash. A functional business system should be a priority, or more house customization, or anything productive really. Taxing the hell out of us, or pitting players against each other, just for the sake of it shouldn't be.

There's no good idea to spend the "hard earned" 50m that most people have.
Sorry but -1 i earned my money, just make stuff i can spend it on, not take it away from me. Even if you fix casino so house wins imma gamble all my money away from day one so problem solved.

yeah we should just go ahead and remove the entire /rob feature, this is MCNR not some shit server where robbers can actually rob something else besides the server.

you do realize that not everyone enjoys pointing a gun at an npc and waiting a few seconds to "rob" something

Business investments? Customizing your safehouse? Extra clothing options? Dono vehicles being unlocked to regular players for a much higher price? Just to name a few.

Never said that. Pickpocketing should remain a feature, but people should have some means of protecting themselves against it other than immediate DM (they may be outnumbered, surrounded by cops, the pickpocket may be next to an ATM already, etc.)

Can we discuss anything without resorting to ableist insults? Or is common decency too "woke" for certain individuals?
thats exactly the point of houses, you would deposit your money there and not have it robbed off your hands. you are stupid if you think mcnr should have a 100% safe way of holding money. at that point there is literally no point in calling it a cops and robbers gamemode anymore. robbing banks and stores is already boring as fuck and you want another safeguard to players so they cant even accidentally lose their money (the same money you dont lose any other way, cause there isnt anything to spend it on)

you are seriously up there with the horsemen of absolute shit takes along with daryl dixon and patchy

you better also go make a suggestion to make calling people brain damaged punishable
