IN-GAME CASH FOR DONATOR STATUS!!!!

Locked

COMMUNITY ALERT -

It has come to my attention, and to the attention of many staff members that there happens to be a lot of "scamming" taking place in the community as of lately.  The current pre-existing scam that is occurring is "donator status in exchange for in-game cash", this method of scamming has been around on the server for many years but luckily there are people who are genuine and follow through with their promise of the donator status. To those who are saying they will donate for a player, in-exchange for in-game cash but fail to follow through I have no respect at all for you and neither does anyone in the community.

Those who are actively scamming, have a good hard think about what you are actually doing. You are taking advantage to players who are less fortunate, whether it be because Paypal is blocked in their region or they do not have the financial stability to donate they're looking for other methods to get donator status.  This is where "in-game cash exchange for donator status" comes into play,  many users "trust" as much I don't like using the word like that around this community I will use it, that the person who they are giving their in-game cash to will follow through with the actual intention of donating on their behalf.

In an attempt to stop these scams happening, these "exchange in-game cash for donator status" are no longer allowed to take place unless a member of staff has authorized the process. This also means that a member of staff will be involved in the process as well, the staff member will take the amount being exchanged for donator status (whether it be $500k, or $1m, $5m) and hold the funds until the donator status is given to the player.

In most scenarios Mike will often verify donations within 24 hours of the donation taking place. If no donation is made within 72 hours, on behalf of the person who the agreement was made with then the full amount of in-game cash will be given back to the player. Staff will also have the free reign to issue infractions to those who "said they will donate", with a maximum penalty of up to 5 infraction points. If the donation does come through a bit later than usual, and the player does receive the donator rank as per the agreement the funds (in-game cash) will be given to the person who donated.

If the staff member who is acting as the "exchange" does not return the funds to the person who wanted to give the in-game cash for donator status after 72 hours they will quickly find their role will turn from "staff" to "player" quicker than Mike releases 1.15... this also goes the opposite way if the staff does not give the in-game cash to the person who donated if the donation happens to be genuine.

Please remember - A member of staff must authorize the exchange. If staff have denied it, the deal is not meant to take place. If you are caught doing the exchange, without the approval of a server staff member you will be heavily punished. 3 points minimum, for doing the exchange without staff knowledge and 5 points minimum if you are caught scamming. There is a permanent ban status available for those who continue to go out of there way to "scam" individuals on the server.
