I always wanted to talk about the recent change where
complaints and appeals are now private. I honestly don't think this is a good change. Most of the community wants complaints and appeals to stay public because it gives everyone a chance to see what is happening and how punishments are being handled. We are not asking for every private detail of someone's case to be shared, but the system should still be open and clear enough for players to trust it. If almost the whole server is saying they want it public, then I think management should at least listen to what the players are saying instead of just making the decision themselves.
When Jimmy talked to Mike about this and Mike said, **"It's my server, I do what I want,"** I understand that technically it is his server, but I don't think that should be the answer to everything. A server is nothing without its players. The players are the ones who spend hours playing, supporting the server, bringing friends in, and keeping the community alive. If the community is clearly unhappy with something, management should listen to them instead of simply saying that they can do whatever they want because they own the server.
A lot of people in MCNR have also donated and supported the server financially. I am not saying that donating means you own the server or get to control the rules, but it does show how much the community has supported MCNR. Many people have put their own money into the server because they care about it and want to see it improve. So when players give feedback about something important and the response is basically **"it's my server,"** it can feel like all the support we have given doesn't really matter. Is this really how you want to repay the people who have supported the server for so long?
At the end of the day, nobody is asking Mike or the management team to give up control of MCNR. We are simply asking them to listen to the community. If the majority of players want complaints and appeals to stay public, then there should at least be a proper discussion about it instead of ignoring everyone's opinion. A good owner should not only do what they personally want; they should also listen to the people who play and support their server. **Please listen to the players and do what the community wants, not just what you personally want.** That is how you keep a community happy and make people feel like their opinions actually matter.
