Press a button to pickup a supply drop

Eh, just prevent players from placing flares in tight spaces like that. A button would totally ruin the decoy drop.

A lot of coding required for your suggestion while this one takes a little bit.

this situation is niche. there are other ways to go up other than stairs

The fact that the decoy landed exactly when that guy was walking the stairs was pure luck.

1. He saw the 'package' coming
2. You can get a heli or a better vantage point to snipe
3. Cops vs robbers fights should be challenging
4. Your idea will completely destroy the idea of 'decoy'..

The thing is that, when there was a suggestion regarding house items collecting and unable to drop them (unless put in a vehicle), Mike made the items to be collected by pressing of a button so interiors of houses can't be blocked and cops can enter without a barrier. And it also made sense because most of the times cops go for killing and sometimes when the path to the criminal is blocked by a decoy drop or a supply drop, it gives the criminal a huge advantage.

It just makes no sense, when cops (or players) already know that a decoy has been called. And in order to prevent criminal's escape, a cop/player must kill himself so that other cops can enter, makes no sense.


I don't get why you guys are -1ing this suggestion even when the situation is already clear. And what do you mean that it would ruin the entire decoy purpose? How will it ruin it? All supply drops will have a button to press to pick it up. There's nothing wrong. It's just kind of adding a decision whether someone wants to pick up a supply drop or not. I really don't get you guys' logic.

And btw Veteran950 regarding your concern, I can just camp on the roof and throw nades exactly where the stairs are at the exact time the cops are climbing up the stairs. There's plenty of ways to do things...

They can do anything they like (which means they are taking a decision), so I am also suggesting an addition of a decision whether someone wants to pickup a supply drop or not by pressing a key, simple.

-1 decoy would be useless and decoys can be abused though I think decoys should be triggered by shooting them

pls elaborate on how it would be useless when everything will stay the same just an addition of a button. i dont get you guys' logic so i will just ignore posts that doesnt explain anything

because it needlessly changes the system to prevent a scenario which really isn't a problem? and it adds an extra step to picking up flares that is unnecessary?

nah instead the mcnr way this would be addressed is to open a box that you have to click yes / no to pick it up

everything else is already behind 3 clicks of a menu

Adding unncessary complication, when a feature is developed, there are many edge cases. The one you shown in video is just like other players said is "luck" and its definitely an edge case and that's how decoy should work, now if cops are using for what purposes doesn't mean we start preventing them lol.

Let's keep things simple and as it is.
