why is it so bad to talk about things that aren't related to mcnr in general? atleast stop handing out mutes and warns for it since it's not really that deep.

It's not a 100k+ members server, like bruh there's the same things discussed about mcnr every new day, someone crying about being banned while someone yelling out to the staff to come online to catch a cheater.
Anyway, my point here is that what's the need of separating off-topic, and mcnr general chats, when they can both be combined and people can discuss whatever they want to, all in one chat? We already have forums in discord created for help, there's no hassle at all. This restriction needs to be removed, give people the freedom to say whatever the hell they want to say.

Imagine yourself having a nice conversation with someone and a person who hasn't said anything in hours comes and tells you to fuck off.
Ruins the whole conversation. The general isn't even super active and having offtopic and general be the same thing wouldn't make it a spamfest. A lot of the conversation in general is already offtopic to begin with, and the conversations end with a staff member threatening with a mute.
The point is, NOBODY benefits from this stupid rule. Admins/Moderator need to be on the lookout on general for anyone talking about offtopic shit, and regular players get muted almost daily. It's a lose-lose situation. If Karbz/Mike is going to shut this down, atleast provide a good reason as to why this can't happen.
Just read the posts down below, seems as though the only person who disagrees with this is Mike. Who barely speaks in general.
