The new solution of the NEW SYSTEM

### **Overview** The transition to the integrated ticket system on mikescnr.com/support successfully solved account authentication and protected reporters from target harassment/retaliation. However, as noted by parts of the community, moving completely away from public forums reduced **community transparency and awareness of server enforcement**. Rather than reverting back to the old forum system, we can create a **middle-ground solution** that keeps Mike’s integrated ticket structure intact while restoring the public clarity and learning value that the forums used to provide. --- ### **The Proposed Solution: Automated "Sanction / Ban Log" Board** Create a public, read-only **"Enforcement & Resolved Reports"** tab on the website or Discord log channel that automatically updates when a ticket results in a temporary ban, infraction, or permanent punishment. #### **Key Features:** 1. **Anonymous Reporter Protection:** * The identity of the player who opened the ticket remains **100% private** to protect them from in-game retaliation. 2. **Public Transparency of Punishments:** * The log displays basic, verified facts once a ticket is closed with disciplinary action: * **Offender:** `[Player Name / ID]` * **Violation:** `[Rule Broken, e.g., Racism / TP Hacks / Airbreak]` * **Action Taken:** `[4 Infraction Points / 3-Day Ban / Permanent Ban]` * **Handling Staff Member:** `[Admin Name]` 3. **Redacted Evidence Snippets (Optional for Major Bans):** * For major bans (e.g., cheaters or severe toxicity), staff can attach a redacted log snippet or screenshot confirming the offense without leaking sensitive player data. --- ### **Why This Works for Everyone** * **Preserves Mike's Core Goals:** * Keeps everything integrated with MCNR game identities. * Protects reporters from public drama and targeted harassment. * Eliminates useless "he said, she said" forum clutter. * **Solves Community Concerns:** * **Restores Transparency:** Players can clearly see that staff are actively enforcing rules and taking reports seriously. * **Acts as a Deterrent:** Potential rule-breakers will see real-time consequences for toxic behavior and cheating. * **Educational Value:** Players can see what specific actions lead to infractions, leaving no confusion about server boundaries. --- ### **A recent change that needs to be discussed** Staff has recently trying to not tell the exact consequence of the certain report , Who really wants to keep the punishment of rule-breaker a secret. If the staff really don’t want to be transparent about the action then i guess this suggestion would be straight forward rejected but anyways that information shouldn’t be hidden.

What happens with reports is the business of the reporter, the reportee, and staff. The entire community doesn’t need to be sticking their nose into other people’s drama.
