💡 Other Rejected (Unwanted or Not Feasible)

My honest opinion about new feedback/support website.

Hi, Gerard Way here. I'd like to share my HONEST opinion about ongoing transition from forums to here In my opinion the feedback page is too simillar to Discord and It's thread option to have actual functionality of a indepedent website, It could be avoided by adding a ticket bot on the MCNR Discord for private staff complaints/appeals, I understand that you're trying to push modernity but this time It feels forced especially with Mike admitting to using AI for his recent webdesign (Interactive player map), If the cause of forums shutdown is the costs just say so. Forums in general had more functionality and personality, now It's just trying to look simplistic/professional without a proper reasoning behind It. As I said If the costs are a problem, let us know, because for all I know this change is rather not favorable by most people. As forum itself in general were more old-fashioned which fit the GTA SA itself +The fact that It's less confusing than this website currently is. Third complaint is the privacy of any moderation inquiries, you're making everything locked behind tickets, that's just killing transparency and will probably encourage report bias and other stuff although I'm unsure which way you will take. I love forums and I hope Mike changes his mind, sometimes simplicity is the way out, actual simplicity, forums not forced possibly AI generated website.

Hi Gerard. Thanks for sharing your honest feedback. Let me clear up a few things and explain the "why" behind these changes: # It’s about integration, not costs The forum retirement isn't a financial decision; it's a structural one. Forum accounts are completely separate from your actual MCNR game accounts. Moving to this system means everything (stats, tickets, suggestions etc.) is tied to your actual MCNR identity. It makes tracking, resolving, and validating issues infinitely more efficient for staff. # Transparency isn't changing I get the concern about things being "hidden" behind tickets, but the truth is, if staff wanted to censor things, we could have easily deleted forum threads and banned users there, too. We have never done that. Our commitment to being fair and transparent remains exactly the same. If you have a staff complaint you can submit a staff complaint ticket. I get notified of these as do all managers. I will review each one but generally let the Operations Team handle it. You can always escalate issues to me directly (after the Operations Manager, if not satisfied with their response). # Privacy protects reporters Making player complaints private actually encourages people to report rule-breakers without fear of retaliation or public drama. If action is taken, it's based strictly on hard evidence (logs/video), not "guilty until proven innocent." If someone is punished, they still have full right to appeal. # Feedback I know change is always a bit jarring at first, it is for me, too. We'll keep tweaking the systems and if you have any further feedback on that subject feel free to share it. I hope this satisfies your concerns.
