I don't see much of need for this as most players are connected via Discord nowadays.
But if this is planned for implementation, would be better to introduce a postal system, where all messages would have to be sent and received only at player's house (so player without house cannot send nor receive mail).
Ability to send message(s) to offline players.
Use discord smh
Sorry Parzival but as others have said, we mostly interact via discord if out of game.. no need for Mike to waste time on coding this imo. -1.
