Staff Roles and Responsibilities

In an effort to try and ensure all MCNR staff are aware of their role and responsibilities I have created a small guide.

Each staff role is expected to perform the same duties as the previous ranks in addition to their own. For example, admins should fulfill the duties of beta testers and moderators also.

Beta tester
- Be an active part of the community. Server, forums, and Discord.
- Help players that need it. Be a welcoming member of the community.
- Be polite, professional, and helpful. You are the face of MCNR. A server's staff team represents the reputation of the server.
- Report issues and internal enhancement suggestions directly to GitHub.
- Test things thoroughly reporting any issues on GitHub.
- Testing things before release on the development server.
- Being available for testing when required.
- Monitor the forum bug reports section and transfer issues to GitHub once verified.

Moderator
Everything above PLUS...
- Monitor players on the server randomly and regularly.
- Respond to in-game player reports (/report).
- Take action against rule-breakers.
- Monitor the forum player complaints section and take action.
- General moderation of the forum and Discord (ensure rules are followed and help people).
- Monitor the actions of lower-ranked staff and advise them. Report any issues or concerns to management.

Admin
Everything above PLUS...
- Monitor and respond to ban appeals on the forums.
- Extend moderator bans when the ban is confirmed to be valid.

Staff that are unable to meet these expectations will be demoted or removed from the team.
