Ban or infraction appeal?Ban appeal
Date and time of ban/infraction including timezone21/05/2021 (Cannot specify time exactly, due to it being so long ago)
Ban/infraction reason and detailsOTHER: "Toxic behaviour towards the playerbase."
Why was this ban/infraction wrongfully issued?Because spittin' facts and giving a "what goes around comes around" attitude towards players isn't being toxic. What they said to me, I said back.
What was the situation which lead to this wrongful ban/infraction? What was happening?Honestly, don't remember. Was quite a long time ago, but it was probably related to me calling some of the players kebabs cause they were trying to cuss at me, but were failing miserably.
Any witnesses that can vouch for you?Not sure who was there at the time of the ban, since I only got it in-game whilst I, myself, wasn't even in-game I think. But I believe Trina is one of the people y'all can talk to. She's had her fair share of Voice Chats with me.
Any more information to provide?I believe at the time, the ban should've expired on the 2021/2022 new years, but now it's permanent? Idk I just felt like coming back to play some good old cops and robbers, shooting some people etc. Lately a lack of stuff to play and looks like MCNR needs all the help it can get.

Gaming / Best game(-s) ever made?
« on: June 15, 2020, 06:52:23 am »
On like a real serious note, what do you guys think are the very best games ever made? And give some real background proof to solidify your statement. And please don't post bullshit.

I think the best game ever made is Half Life 2.
It's graphics were decently revolutional back then and still live up to some high standards, people who think we need shaders and global illumination can literally kill themselves xD.
The biggest thing it brought to the table were the games physics! Since it has plenty of small, yet important physics based puzzles. They're quite simple and you never really get stuck, but they're a good side activity from just killing stuff.
Weapon gameplay is also quite on point, every weapon has its uses and you can't complete the whole game with only one gun (without trying super on purpose), because weapon ammo is spread very balanced and you'll run out of it quickly on the waves of combine that'll try and kill you.
Speaking of combine, Half Life 2 or really Half Life in general, has one of the best stories ever made it's so wide and you can have so many branches of it. Obviously, since Half Life: Alyx just released we got a crap ton of additional info regarding the story which is great!

So, had a little situation today which made no logical sense what so ever.
A Most Wanted player ran in the bank, then down to the vault. Me and some others being cops, we followed. He just ran down the stairs and we couldn't get to him, since we kept getting teleported to the top of the stairs.
It's obviously there to prevent cops from camping inside the bank and it's vault, but at the same time gives criminals a magical safe zone which makes no sense at all, should be changed. Also if there's a criminal in the bank, allow cops to enter even if it's after the locking time.

General / Pros teach noobs.
« on: May 27, 2020, 06:04:53 pm »
Hey, peeps.

So it's no surprise to anyone that in a server about cops chasing criminals there's a fair share of shootouts. That's one of the things we all like.
I personally think I'm not the best of shoots, I know some basic strats and try and aim as good as I can, if I'm lucky I can bring someone down.

So I was thinking maybe we can organize like a training session for fun, where some of the more experienced PvP'ers can teach the less-skilled players, like myself on how to be better at shooting and what not.
Obviously, I can't really be the one to organize it, since I don't have the skill, but maybe we can talk together and make some group? Gimme your thoughts.
We can jump on a vc for like an hour and talk or whatever.

Approved Suggestions / Jail and arresting is pointless right now...
« on: May 25, 2020, 04:52:55 pm »
Hello!

I want to suggest making jail a bit more forceful, in the idea that most of the time you'll have to sit through it.

Currently there are 4 ways of getting out of jail:
1. Breaking out of it, by yourself or with the help of a friend.
2. Waiting out the sentence till it completely ends our paying the bail after time is done.
3. Offering a bribe to nearby officer.
4. A nearby officer offering you a bribe.

Now, I think the first way, breaking out is really balanced right now, I've tested it plenty of times and it can fail quite a lot which is logical, because it's a police departament, not your kindergarden playground.
The second way, waiting out the sentence is also pretty fair, If I'm not mistaking max was 4 minutes, which is plenty and the bail amount is also good, no issues there.

The third and fourth way is what I think is a bit bullshit right now for multiple reasons.
The bribing system right now is better then it was before, cops can only offer/accept X bribes in X minutes, which prevents a bit of the issue.
But we still have a lot of times where some newbie kebab (middle eastern player most of the time that can't speak English at all and breaks a lot of the servers rules), just goes to the prisons and finds out he gets a whole 500$ for doing 1 commands and then just sits there (even waiting through the cooldown) and accepts bribes and lets all those murderers, child rapists out...
A fix for that would be to limit bribing off to only like rank 5 and above cops, because you can kind of compare to real life, usually the recruits aren't the ones taking the bribes, they wan't to show that they are good cops, it's the old dogs that know the streets that accept bribes.

That brings me to the next issue. When you arrest a crew of members or in general a group of players one of their friends just goes to the police, goes on-duty, releases all his friends, goes back off-duty. I talked to M3E6 about this and he said it shouldn't be possible after the next update, but that was a while ago already, so obviously it didn't get added. Either make it a rule or just don't let them do it script-wise, because that obviously shouldn't be possible.

One other thing I'd like to mention here is the criminal delivering system. As most of you know, if you deliver a cuffed criminal with your car to the police departament you'll get a pay bonus! Which recently got increased, thanks to Mike. I think it would be also a bonus if you made it that criminals get 1 less minute of jail time if they don't fight back and let cops deliver them, so it would be a handshake from both sides.

So to sum it all up:
1. Make it so only Rank 5+ cops can take bribes, so newbies don't release murderers and farm cash.
2. Don't allow friends or crew members go on duty to release their friends and then pop back off-duty. Makes jail completely pointless if everyone just gets let out isntantly.
3. Reduce criminal sentence if they cooperate with cops and allow the cops to deliver them to the police departament.

General / The housing system!
« on: May 25, 2020, 04:37:55 pm »
Hello, ladies and gentlemen.

As you know in Mike's Cops and Robbers we have a housing system, which let's you purchase 5 (corrected by @dudesdog ) houses, which can range from dirt, worn down trailers in Angel Pine all the way up to the biggest mansions in Vinewood. Which is an excellent idea! I personally think that's a real end-game goal, to have expensive houses.
If a player is inactive for over X time, the houses get sold off back to the server and the player gets refunded 50% of the houses price, I personally had a few houses over 700k+ back at the end of 2019, but don't have any of them anymore, which I believe was fair, since I really wasn't active back then.

But we're not here to discuss the inactivity of housing, we're here to discuss the functionality of housing!   :D

Houses can be used for:
1. Storing Money
2. Storing Guns
3. Spawning

1. Currently the economy is really fucked up and the servers management are aware of it and will be fixing it, we just don't know when or how exactly, but on the current system, storing money is completely pointless, because the only reason for doing it is to avoid taxes. The taxes currently only get applied to players above 10 million dollars in their bank accounts, which is quite a small percentage of the playerbase and even then are so minimal that you can earn the lost amount back mostly with your interest and a few bank robberies. Also if you store your money in the safe at your house, it can be stolen by other players in house robberies!

2. Moving on to the other thing, weapons. The only reason to place weapons in your safe would be if you were to spawn there without guns and then you can take them, but then why not just drive to the nearest ammunation on your way to do something? The other thing Mike thought of if you're being chased by cops, but I doubt you'll have the time to get weapons out your safe before getting arrested, most people still don't drive to their houses in the case of cops chasing, they prefer to try and outrun them in other methods, such as lag pitting, out speeding or just straight up killing the cops.

3. One roleplay related thing you can do at your house is house parties, I mean some might do them, in my 100+ hours of play, I haven't seen a single one, but I mean that's not a real gameplay reason to have a whole housing system in a server, because then you can name a million roleplay related things you can do in a house.

4. Robbing houses is a really good way to make money if you know the rich players who store their cash in the safes, so that's a good, fun activity to do. The normal items you take from the houses right now pay like utter shit in the current economy.

5. No one somewhat hardcore spawns at their house, it's most of the time quite far from the bank or other points of interests, if it's not then good job, you're using it perfectly.

So, this is all nice that I've written it, but that's just there to give those who don't know or don't care some information. The reason for the thread is to discuss what other things can be added (after fixing stuff like economy, rules etc. which are in the works) to the houses, to make them more practical and useful.

Recently I did the MCNR Development Survey on the google forms page and I noticed a very good idea, drug growing. I believe Mike and M3E6 being the devs they are could (again after the other stuff is fixed) add a drug system in which drugs give actual benefits and the exact place you would be able to grow/produce them would be your house. The bigger and more expensive the house, the more 'product' you can produce for you, your crew or to sell off to other players or the server. The more you would be able to make, the more expensive the process, the more drugs you get at the end.

I want your guys help to think of more similar additions that could be added to houses later in the future to make them more practical.

Simple suggestion, not sure if it's supposed to be implomented yet, but had a situation today..

I was a cop, chasing an orange criminal, he drove in to a mod shop and just went afk in there, so I couldn't do shit.
You guys should probably make it that 2+ star people can't enter mod shops.

Hello, ladies and gents.

Today I want to talk about the police pay. By the word "pay" I mean anything and everything that makes a player money for being specifically a cop. The post will focus directly on comparing how much money players who play more of the cop job make, compared to criminals, how much they make in various ways. And all of this is compared as you were to be max rank, that is level 100 and rank 10 cop.

So, first of all, I do not have a list of all the actions a cop specifically can make to earn money and how much money they make for each action, if someone can provide that, would be great!

I did a test over this week. Every day, during prime-time (the time when there are the most players on), I went on the cop job and played in 2 different ways.

Method 1:
- I geared my character out from the cop store with various weapons that I'd need in fight and chases, bought armor, medkit all that good stuff.
- Used a police car. That is normal cruiser and sometimes the fast cars, like Infernus, Bullet etc.
- Chased any and all criminals that were yellow or higher.
- All oranges/reds I tried to deliver to pd, if they resisted, arrested them without the bonus.
- Tried to stop as many bank robberies etc. as I could.

Method 2:
Because the /bribe is completely dumb right now, you can just get bribed all day long without any cooldown or punishment.
- So I just sat at the police departament near the cells and just offered bribes and took bribes. I didn't only take $500 bribes, but also asked for 1'000 and sometimes even 2'000, mostly to players that I know can afford w/o issues.
- Watched Netflix in the process  8)

So, I'll remind you that I did this for 5 days, both methods.
I pulled average stats across the 5 days.

Method 1:
- 1 hour  :: ~$15'000

Method 2:

- 1 hour  :: ~$40'000

So, that's the information I gathered. Doing your work, pays terribly. Only accepting bribes and half-afking in the pd awarded me with 40k per 1 hour of afking.

I want to also do criminal comparison to cop, but logically, you can rob the bank 1 time per day and get like 14-20k every time you rob it, so in 1 hour you should be able to do it 3 times, so 45-60k. I don't remember the times, since I haven't played that seriously in a long while. Also as a criminal you can go get safes, rob stores, etc.

One thing you should take in to account is that I was lucky with my measurings, because all the time I measured, there was a decent amount of cops online, so it was easier to capture criminals and also bribe them in prison. If there are too many cops, Method 2 will be really bad or won't work at all, but if there is a shit ton of criminals, you won't be able to do Method 1, because you'll just get killed over and over again.

Implemented Suggestions / Change around Most Wanted (MW) status.
« on: May 06, 2020, 06:25:03 pm »
So, I think the cop rules regarding Most Wanted players should be changed around tiny bit.
Currently, if a MW is unarmed (literally not holding any weapons in hands), you can't shoot him.

Let's say the person breaks out of jail, I agree that cops shouldn't instantly just blast him with everything they got.

But if we have a different situation, where a person doesn't have any weapons (or has just switched off of them) and keeps running in dumb locations such as: Parkouring over roofs, in super small allys and the cops are unable to ram him to stop him or anything else, we should be allowed to start shooting him after like 1 minute of chasing on foot.

It's a very situational thing, but can mean the huge difference of catching or not catching someone.

Criminals can also not use their weapons, jump around, wait for their friends to come, then get their weapons out and just blast off at you, which is kind of crappy, since we have no way other then checking their hands if they actually have any weapons.

Implemented Suggestions / Kick high ping players.
« on: May 06, 2020, 06:17:39 pm »
I think we should kick players with ping constantly above like 230-250.

You can't shoot them for shit.
You can't pit them for shit.
You can't arrest them for shit.
They teleport all over the place.

Just goddamn dumb.

Rejected Suggestions / Weapon playstyles.
« on: May 06, 2020, 07:10:01 am »
Hello, fellow players of Mikes Cops And Robbers!

I might not be the first player to write regarding weapons, but I believe in a server, in which general shootouts are a very common thing, this is super important.
Due to the weapons already being changed and Mike being very open to conversation, I believe, we as a community, can get to a final setting that the majority will enjoy.
So in this topic I won't be saying: "Buff this, buff that" While, yes, I do agree some weapons are too strong and some are super weak, that's not what this topic is about.

This topic is to talk about the two main ways of shootouts that you can have in SAMP. One would be the fuck around method and the other would be more realistic and skill based method.

Fuck around method:
This method is what the server uses currently, since it's the only viable method of playing, otherwise you will lose most fights against anyone who's played the game for over a week.
In fights consisting of the fuck around method, you usually have two or more players engaging in combat for whatever reason, both using weapons that can be held in two hands, such as: Mac-10's, Tec-9's and the Sawn Off shotguns. Whilst this combat does work to kill the enemy, it is by no means super skill based (It can be, but usually ends up not being) since it consists of both players running in circles just holding M1 and trying to aim on their enemy.
Due to how SAMP works sometimes you even have to lag-shoot in front of the player, where they WILL be, not where they ARE.
Example:

While at first this seems super skill based, all you need to do is hold your reticle on your enemy. It works almost like pyros in TF2, just hold W and M1.
This method only really allows 3 weapons to be used and those are: tec-9, mac-10, Double Sawn off.
There are minor cases when you would take out a different weapon like the AK or M16, possibly a Combat Shotgun, but since this server uses (I believe) the default run speed, anyone can fully dodge this by just going zig-zag insanely fast.
I believe this combat way is quite aids, since 1v1's are quite fair and if it's a 2v1 you are guaranteed to lose.

"Realistic" (not really) combat:
This is the combat method which usually is in most roleplay servers, whilst I know this server doesn't plan nor' want to be a roleplay server, it can possibly take this general combat method and profit quite well from it.
It also makes the headshot system (which is in this server I believe) very useful.
Pretty much in this system, your fights can happen with any weapon, but do notice that in this system THERE ARE NO TWO HAND HELD WEAPONS, such as, but not limited to: Tec-9's, Sawn-off's, Mac-10's.
For those 3 guns you can limit the skill to only allow 1 gun in 1 hand and none in the other.
So usually when a fight starts, you'd take your main weapons, such as: Deagle, M16, AK, Combat shotgun and try and actually get some cover or try and abuse the right angle (which is tactical and not a bug). Or when engaging in a fight where there is no cover, strafe right and left in hopes to dodge some bullets whilst at the same time trying to headshot the enemy, since that'll give you the maximum damage output you can deal.
This, personally, would be the favorite of mine, since it'll also be easier to balance for @Mike . And it'll also make most guns viable, not only 3.
Some example:

I'd also advise to possibly increase HS damage a lil' bit.

Pros and Cons:
Fuck around method:
+ Like piss easy
+ People don't need to buy a lot of guns since only like 3 are really used.
+ Has a lot of ammo, so just run around and hold mouse1.
- Mike has already battled kind of against it with the reload addition.
- Hard to balance out
- Makes most of the weapons quite useless for normal to tryhard players.
- Makes group fights very non-interesting since it's either 1v1 or 2v1 just running in circle holding M1.

The more "realistic" method:
+ Easier to balance
+ Would make more weapons viable
+ Due to more weapons being viable it would be another outlet for money. (just a lil' bit, but still helps)
+ It would be a bit more skill based in my opinion, you would have to really aim for the head and try and focus on cover.
+ Group fights would be a bit more interesting, since you can be tactical and aim for one target or aim for multiple, giving tactics a bit of use. (not in all cases obviously)
- Some peeps would be against it, compared to current system it's a bit harder to get use to, since most people prefer to drive 3-4 in a car and just spray anything in miliseconds. (talking about you crew members :D)
- If players get really good at this, some kids might call them out for hacks.

Open for discussions.

Fixed Bugs / Cop car passengers can drop spikes!
« on: May 06, 2020, 06:33:27 am »
I'm thinking this is a bug, but pretty much, if you are two cops in a cop car, you're the driver and a friend is the passenger, he can also drop spikes.
I believe only the driver should be able to drop the spikes otherwise the passenger can use it to troll or to drop it in locations which is harming to the general public. Should be restricted to driver only.

Approved Suggestions / Re-balance the servers economy!
« on: December 02, 2019, 12:31:15 pm »
The server really requires a economy re-balancing. The current ways of spending money are way too cheap and/or useless (or they limit you in other ways).

There are currently 5 ways of spending (or reducing) money:
1) Property
2) Transport
3) Weaponry
4) Useful/Useless items from stores etc.
5) Wealth Tax

1) Property
A player can own up to 5 properties at any given time. You are unable to sell your housing to the server, so the only people able to buy it off you are other players. The highest amount a house can go for is $1'500'000 and those are few of the Richman houses in LS. Yet the 1.5M price can only be set by players, by default most of the expensive houses cost from 500k-1.3M. At the moment of writing this, most of those houses have been already bought and won't be for sale any time soon, since the players that own them are quite active.
Once you have purchased a house, you can upgrade it with various small things such as a safe and better security as well as insurance. If you can buy a house for upwards of 100k, the prices of these upgrades are pretty much nothing, since they range from around 1k-9k.

2) Transport
Currently the only type of transport you can get is land transport AKA cars and motorcycles. These vehicles can cost up to 140k which is the most expensive car, the Infernus. The money for the cars isn't really all that hard to get, but the levels are, since, for example, the infernus requires level 99 to be able to purchase it. The thing is by the time someone is level 99 they can purchase 10+ infernuses. (Assuming they didn't waste their money on dumb shit)
Cars are super cheap compared to the levels of when you unlock them and how they overall perform. Even the level 35 Banshee can outrun 80% of cop vehicles and it's only 40k.

3) Weaponry
Weapons are quite decently priced compared to their unlock levels and use. The income of both cops and criminals matches quite well. Usually you can live quite a long while just by buying 2k worth of UZI ammo and some armor (or find it in the cities if you know where to look). In situational times you might wanna get a sniper or an M4.

4) Useful/Useless items from stores etc.
This section includes random items such as condoms from sex shops, bats etc. These items cost next to nothing and most of the time are absolutely useless.

5) Wealth Tax
So wealth tax only starts to show up on your paydays after you have 1 million. At this point your tax is around 5k, but since you have so much money in the bank you also get around 2-3k in interest, so you only pay around 2-3k in taxes per million you have, which is almost nothing. You can make 3k in robbing like 3-5 stores in a matter of minutes. At one point I had 3 or 4 mil in the bank and I paid around 15k in taxes, which as I've said before can easily be made back in a matter of minutes.

That's pretty much it. People run around with tens of millions of dollars since there's no real place to invest it in, houses have a cap and aren't all that useful, cars have a limit and are dirt cheap. There's cash coming in the server faster then it can be spent. Please check this out and think about it seriously.

Implemented Suggestions / Re-balance the candy gain [Christmas event]
« on: December 02, 2019, 11:29:00 am »
So, I've so far played around 3 hours on the server with the new update. I've tried every new activity on the server, including the whole candy farming.
That's what I mostly wanted to talk about.

To those who don't know, the Christmas update brought us a candy competition on the server just like the Halloween one. You collect candy by going to doors and ringing them, then you have a chance of getting a random amount of candy. My experiences have been around 0-10 candy per house. After singing the Christmas carols at a set amount of houses, you have a 24 hour cooldown till you can do it all over again. Besides singing carols at peoples houses, there are 2 more ways of obtaining candy. One is finding the one of the 450 Christmas presents scattered around San Andreas. Which isn't too hard, but only awards you with 1 candy per present found. Considering there's 450 of them, not a big deal, but it won't win you the competition for sure.

Then comes the Christmas tree, which I believe introduces WAY too much RNG (Random Number Generation) in to the competition. At first, you might think the person that's most dedicated, farms the most and does it the fastest will be the one victorious, but you are so very wrong. So with the tree you can, once a day, go up to it and get a present which awards you with either: A) A clothing item B) Money C) Candy. It seems fine, till you find out that you can get insane amounts of candy with just the tree. After I sang as many carols as I could, I managed to get around 400 candy from it. Yet some people (I suspect) have gotten anywhere from 500-750 candy from just the tree, since they have now done all the carols they are over a thousand. It's just so insane!

You can with 1 daily Christmas tree present, knock out two whole days of carol singing which is unrealistically unfair and overpowered. You can be as dedicated to winning the competition as you want, but if someone else has better luck with the candy, they can just pass you in a day or two.

I recommend re-balancing the amount of candy given by the tree or remove candy from those tree presents completely. It's too overpowered as it stands.

Denied Complaints / Deathmatching report on Henry_Oaks
« on: November 12, 2019, 06:17:06 pm »
My IGN: Solid
His IGN: Henry_Oaks
Reason for report: Deathmatching
Explanation of the situation:
I was playing as an officer. I noticed a person with a stolen vehicle so I began a persuit on the vehicle. It was that hippy bus. I proceeded to go after him till he became orange, whilst I was trying to pit him, I checked his stats via the TAB menu. The player had around 19 score and 170 ping. A relatively new player to the server.
I manage to lit the bus on fire and the suspect gets out of the vehicle and begins to run.
All of a sudden out of nowhere, Henry_Oaks drives up on the situation and just starts spraying me down with uzis. Not being prepared for that at all, I died to him. Afterwards I asked him, why did he exactly just pull up on me, spraying me down? He replied something along the lines of "Because I protect my fellow felons"
That being said, he had no correlation with that player, so he wasn't just protecting his friend or anything of that type.
From that conversation it's plain and simple. He just came and killed me, because he was wanted. I wasn't shooting him before, I didn't chase him, I didn't try and taze him or anything, he just comes bye and kills me for jack crap.

He said he'll reply to this, so I guess we can see where that goes.

Invalid Bugs / Las Venturas Deadzone

IGN: Solid

Since no one has officially reported it yet, I thought I'll do it.
Pretty much on this road opposite caligula's palace is a "deadzone" in which you freeze up if you were to drive in.
Whilst it doesn't happen to everyone, I've seen maybe 2-3 players managing to get through it, everyone elses game just freezes up and the only way to exit is via task manager or full computer restart. Very annoying and needs to be fixed.
I'll attach a screenie of the location.
