The title says it all, I've had this idea for a long time, I just didn't want to add more to mikes plate which he is working very hard to implement to the server, but I think this one should be very easy.
If you're fishing and you catch food poisoning or you've caught aids from a prostitute, then players be able to cure it with a limit. Having Painkillers, or Panadol to cure ones disease, or has a chance to not have any effects, which wil require you to go to the hospital or call for a medic. The Pain killers and Panadol can also be obtained in the 24/7 stores, and could have a chance of stealing one or the other while robbing the store.

Tell me what you guys think? would this be a good option for players to have along side 2 medkits they can carry? or will this tip the scale of balance and just make medics slightly not useful?

Nah... it'll decrease the reality... Only medics can, is OK. But, if a civilian can do it, medics will become more useless. Not totally -1 tho actually +0.5

Yes! an antidote or a medicine you can buy in any hospital..

Medics will be of no use if this happens. Instead of buying this medicine from hospital / store, allow only medics to sell medicines as well as cure diseases
