Money reset coming? beautiful nonsense

Hi guys,

many of you will know me as one of the most avid home sellers, perhaps the first who has worked so hard in this profession. The real estate market was a great alternative to the classic server jobs. This job allowed me to increase my money from $ 4 million to $ 20 million in 3 months of play.

I've had a lot of fun these months, and it's been inspiring to do this job every day. But I'm not a serial accumulator.
My goal was to invest my money in businesses, betting houses, casinos, sports cars and more. I was (and am) waiting for these updates, as I implied in the previous topic. I'm sure these updates will make the server even more challenging and competitive. The inclusion of gambling would allow the winning (but especially the loss) of large sums of money, which would allow to restore the gaming economy.

But what do I read a few days ago? apparently a money reset is expected. Well, if in the morning I realize that I have lost the money earned in months of work, I would be very disappointed. What did I work for? for nothing. Months wasted for nothing.

I therefore propose to avoid this, and to adopt alternative ways to balance the economy. For example introducing gambling and other ways to win / lose large sums of money.

To conclude, I tell you this thing: The first few days I played on the server, I saw guys much stronger than me and with a lot of money. it is thanks to them that I have worked hard to reach this level.

bro use common sense, people like @sousage is overwhelmed by his 40mil, what can he do? large sum of bet? broooooo the economy is already ruined decade ago, and the only thing we need is to reset the whole economy and balance all of the payout, which will be done in 2.0 . Even if you balance the payout now and you doesn't want to reset money, it only applies to newbie but not old players.

As you said, you earn lot of money from selling property, then do it again after reset. What's wrong? Ain't you saying you enjoy doing this job? We aren't even going to remove your ability to sell houses, it's still there, just a hard reset so that we can be right on track.

Start thinking for the server then you'll know why a server reset is needed.

Yeah, Flyburger pretty much hit the nail on the head.

The economy has been f'd over for more then half a year at least. The reason being that it wasn't properly thought through from the beginning, thus we need to the reset.

You propose this is avoided by just adding stuff like gambling. That won't solve the issue at all, since the properties, cars, weapons have already been bought and those are the real money spenders, not gambling. Even if gambling was a thing, it wouldn't be widely used.

The only way this whole shabang is going to work is if everything gets wiped, not just cash. So score, cars, houses, levels, all of it.

Perhaps a care package of sorts for long time players could be awarded with perhaps a free vehicle credit or some money or guns could be done to help mitigate the loss of all your stuff and make it feel like your time was worth something.

When will 2.0 come? I think ppl wasting time in mcnr cause everything will be reset soon. Why are we playing then?

Admins should give more information about 2.0 cause i dont waste all my stats if its only casino robbery.

It's good for the server, you will enjoy grinding it with all others eventually, plus its more fun if all of us start from same page.

After money reset, I and possibly other players too will just stop playing because it's annoying to lose everything and restart fresh.

MCNR logo above clearly states that this server is still in beta development, and you know what usually happens with your progress once a game gets out of beta, right? You're all here playing on an unfinished product that is constantly getting tweaks and updates. That means the amount of cash you get from something today isn't necessarily going to be the same next week. Updates happen every few weeks and most of them bring us new features. Those new features unfortunately come in with bugs and possible exploits. All of you probably heard about one or two which made some players rich or get high scores (and those are just the ones that got public). You can only imagine how many of those happened before you even came here.

Ya'll here crying how it's unfair to lose everything you worked for, but how about the new players that came today and earn less cash from bank robberies than you did? How about those people who didn't get an extra 1mil for reaching lvl 100 (again) after the reset to lvl90 happened? It's super clear that reset is needed, but only after everything is balanced, so it can actually fix things..

100% agreed, this was what we needed to make people understand about the reset and not just cry over it.

 Well said. Exactly what I wanted to say, think for the server, for the others. Just because you don't want to lose your money so you are against the reset. Is that fair to new players/new comer? Clearly no. Imagine if after BETA and it officially released, players getting 5k from bank, meanwhile you used to get 20+k from bank robberies. They had to put more effort than you guys in term of getting on same level. Just because of the saltiness towards the reset, do you think our server can improve? Selfish.

Anyways, I suggest that if Mike decided to reset the database, old players like us should receive something special such as special cosmetics or anything else that is visualized  for credit.

I'm not coming back.... OK. I need to tolerate it. But, I don't wanna see this server loose its players... For those, I replied...

I banned myself cuz I couldn't delete or remove it by myself. I asked an admin to delete it but he told that they can help me to change my name... As I got enemies and couldn't delete my account, I used a mod that didn't take any advantage towards others and banned myself...

btw if me and others gets unbanned, we'll be very happy.

As it's going to reset all accounts, means new life. We need to forget our previous account's stats and all of the things... It'll be like we joined this server today. That's why I told to give us a chance to prove our self "we will not cheat and get banned anymore"

Hard resets are necessary because at some point, servers economy that doesn't work anymore. Players will find ways to earn even more money and if there isn't any regular newcomers, players are going only to get richer and richer and the gap between newcomers and players who are just playing two months is just bigger. Afterwards, servers economy lose its value at some point as it is now.

Mike already said that this is going to happen, so it's better to create topics to help him with the solution on how to make the economy relevant again, to be fair to older AND newer players. He wouldn't do this if the knows he will lose his playerbase.

I'll agree with the money reset. but all the other things like scores, XP, death and kills stats, just no.
