Make a in game music like a radio where we can be a dj an add some of our mixes and we can listen to it in game since the audio plugin is now available in the server why don't we make this one? Like you can select Dj's to upload music like a playlist to be able to listen music in game for low spec players that wan't to hear some music while playing. So they don't use more ram.

if the player doesnt use the ram it will be the server that will use more ram to stream the songs that players choose.From a players prespective i think it would be a nice addition to be able to listen to the songs you want rather than being limited to only a group of songs you may or may not like.Cost wise, not so much.

You see, if theres 150 people in the server for example and everyone wants to listen to a song of choice - that'll mean the server will have to keep 150 tabs open in order to stream the songs that the users want.Depending on the capabilities the server has, you might even lag - making it an unplayable experience for everyone on the server.I dont really know how the audio plugin works but it makes sense that you'd need a lot more resources which would also imply a lot more costs in order to make you listen music because you dont want to download the songs and listen to them on windows media player - which by the way takes absolutely no RAM.

Yea ok server will use more ram. here's how to fix it mike will pick players to post their playlist on the radio like a dj so that the server will not use more ram.

I don't know the inner workings of the audio plugin, but from what I can tell, the audio plugin tells the client (player) to listen to a certain radio stream at an address (e.g. http://mikescnr.com/boombox/pop1.pls) and the client then downloads that file which contains information about how to connect to the stream, then the client connects directly to that Internet radio station's stream. It's not proxied through the server.

For now, if anyone can find a .pls file for an Internet radio station they wish added to the server, you may suggest it to me.
