Alright, as the title goes. We pay for our cars, they completely belong to us. People just come and steal them when we're chasing a suspect (sending it to storage would be totally disturbing because if the suspect flees away, we'll have to wait for it to come back, and bla bla). Other people should not be able to use any person's personal vehicle, which will make it fully belong to them, I've been into this issue many times, people often steal my vehicles when I'm inside an interior, or busy in something. They either destroy it to make me pay the fee, or pop it's tyres and damage it. I don't know if this has been ever suggested before.. I checked and couldn't find any, so here we go. I suggest that there should be a popped up text when people are trying to enter other people's personal vehicle, like 'this is Parzival's personal vehicle, you are unable to enter it', just my point of view, rest's on ya.

It should take longer time, to steal personal vehicles. Or it should notify you if your vehicle is stolen.

little tip: before you head into an interior, then return the car into the garage. i always do it, my car never gets stolen. as for the stealing part, i'd say no because its a part of the game and stuff like that also happens IRL.

Exactly, so just steal another car. The tip mentioned above is also useful, and don't forget you can teleport your vehicle back once the car thief gets on foot.

This isn't needed and it would just make the game easier thus less fun.

However, I have experienced other cops steal my car while I'm cuffing/arresting someone and that could do some tweaking. But for civilians/criminals this shouldn't apply.

I agree that it can be annoying to have your vehicle stolen, but hey guess what, the game is called Grand Theft Auto. I'm not going to make it impossible to steal personal vehicles.

That being said, I will perhaps make it much harder to steal them if you lock them behind you. Perhaps instead of hitting enter ~10 times you have to hit it ~30 times or something and it should notify you in chat and on-screen that someone is trying to steal your vehicle? Then you can react to it and stop them?

perhaps there could be a lockpicking system similar to hacking the vault at the bank, and also the owners of their vehicles would get notified in the middle of the screen or get a message by system in the chat box
