Charge a fee for certain unbans

I will make a one time donation to mike for my indescretions and Wish to rejoin the communiy and make ammends for my mistakes. It's been a long time and I ask for one more chance. to prove myself. I miss you guys! and I really have changed. and matured. I am so sorry for everything I have done in the past.

I'm not saying this should apply for every single ban on MCNR, only where appropriate. For example, if a player is banned for 6 months, they can reduce their ban by paying a 'fine'. Again, if a player is permanently banned, at the discretion of staff, they could pay a 'fine' to get an unban.

Pros:
* Extra revenue for Mike & MCNR
* Players are unlikely to rulebreak again if they have to pay for unbans
* Acts as both a punishment and deterrent
* Also acts as compensation to the MCNR community for rulebreaking
* May reduce amount of stupid and painful to read unban requests

Cons:
* Creates a conflict of interest between Mike & players
* Players from certain countries may not be able to afford an unban
* Players with a lot of disposable income may not give a fuck and rulebreak continuously, then unban continuously
* Could lead to chargebacks (Instead of using Paypal+Stripe, use Square as they do not charge a chargeback fee)

I didn't see this, but I get why staff don't like the idea of reducing unbans.

Still, there's some players that can't get away from MCNR and WILL evade their bans. When they evade their bans, they treat their accounts as temporary and WILL rulebreak and ruin the experience for players.

This would reduce the amount of 'dickhead' ban evaders as they can regain access to their account legitimately, whilst paying a 'fine' which would deter them from rulebreaking again, whilst compensating MCNR for their BS.

It's not. Cheat, and you get banned.

At the moment, if a player is going to say "I promise I won't do this again" and does it again, they'll get a permanent ban. Then they will just ban evade + cheat even worse, in a retaliatory way - completely ruining the experience for rule-abiding players.

If a player pays for an unban (at the discretion of staff) then does the same rulebreak again, then, at staff discretion, they should be charged an even higher fee for an unban. If they continue - it's more revenue, more compensation, and more punishment to their wallet.

I do agree - "Compensating the community" is part of that, but of course this would be open to Mike's discretion to implement. Dealing with bullshit unban requests is painful, and it would be a great way to compensate you for your time/effort.

This would have to be implemented in a way that doesn't create a conflict of interest between staff and players. For example, instead of  receiving cash for collecting evidence, it could be "pooled" and distributed in a fair way, inter-staff events could be made with gift cards/monetary prizes, or even "staff of the month" could include a gift card/monetary prize.
