Version 1.14.18

BANK WELFARE, INTEREST, AND WEALTH TAX
Just so you know, Welfare, Interest and Wealth Tax are all calculated every 168 minutes played (active play, not just idle). This equates to one game week.

The following changes have been made to these three systems:
- Welfare: Players that have less than $10k total cash will receive a $1k payment. This used to be $500 given to players that have less than $1k.
- Interest: 0.25% interest was previously given on a player's bank balance. It has been increased to 0.75% but only applies to bank accounts with a balance of between $100k and $2m.
- Wealth tax:
   - The threshold for wealth tax to be applied is now $5m. It was previously $10m.
   - Wealth tax was previously calculated based on a player's entire bank balance. It is now only calculated for the amount OVER the wealth tax threshold.
   - The wealth tax rate was previously 2.5% of the player's entire bank balance. It's now 3.5% of the amount OVER the $5m threshold.
   - Before this change, if you had $10m, you'd pay 2.5% of $10m, or $250k. Now it would be 3.5% of $5m, or $175k.
   - Before this change, if you had $50m, you'd pay 2.5% of $50m, or $1.25m. Now it would be 3.5% of $45m, or $1.57m.
- To prevent tax avoidance, players can now only withdraw $100,000 from the bank per 'tax cycle'.
   - It's not even really necessary to withdraw money from the bank, as almost everything can be paid for directly from your bank account.
- All of the above is subject to change based on feedback.

A /tax command has been added which will show the status of the above three systems for your account.
It will show when you can next expect to receive welfare, interest, or wealth tax, and how much it will be.





Helicopter rappelling fixes and improvements:
- When rappelling, you can now hold SPRINT to apply brakes to slow down. Failure to do so might cause you fall damage from landing too fast.
- The helicopter will be forced to stay still while players are rappelling.
- The helicopter no longer has to be almost exactly still to start rappelling.
- Fixed issue where, when rappelling from a helicopter, if the player went below sea level (0 height) they would stop rappelling.
  Generally not an issue except for if rappelling down into Hunter Quarry you'd fall to your death!
- Fixed rope not generating all the way to the ground if started too high.
- If the helicopter dies or is removed, any players rappelling will now end rappelling.
- Pilots can now 'cut the ropes' - e.g. if the helicopter is under attack.

Also new:
- New action logs for medic actions: Heal (self), heal (others), cure (self), cure (others), revive (start), revive (success), revive (fail), revive (cancel).
- When selling fish, the rarity is now shown (this heavily affects price).
- Altimeter can now be set to show in meters instead of feet (/set > MCNR settings > Display).
  - It will also show while in a jetpack.
- 'Building Fire' job event now shows fires left to extinguish.
- Verdant Meadows Airfield is now a purchaseable property with its unique interior.

- You can now rob up to $50k from players (was previously $10k).
  - This should encourage bank account use (no more wealth tax avoidance!) and make holding cash in your wallet a risk again (as it should be).
  - You must crouch while robbing a player to potentially get $50k, otherwise you'll get up to $35k.
- Drive-by shooting is now a 2-star wanted level crime (was 1-star).
- Skater skin level unlocks have been replaced by karate skins.
  - If a player has the karate skin equipped but isn't a high enough level to have unlocked it won't be removed from them.
- When staff clear unoccupied vehicles, trailers attached to occupied vehicles are now excluded from being cleared.
- 'Shooting in Public' (but a drive-by) and 'Drive-by shooting' crimes have a larger detection radius (to match on-foot 'Shooting in Public' crime).
  It's 150m for all guns except silenced pistol which is reduced to 30.
- Minimum/maximum bounty changed from $2k/$50k to $5k/$100k.
- Store robberies, bank robberies, and house robberies have had their payouts increased.
- Fuel price increased by 50%.
- Doubled cash payout for daily objectives (including 50% increase for consecutive days bonus). Also increased score.
- Doubled 'daily login bonus' payout and score.
- When fishing, you can no longer cast the line while an animation is playing.
- Increased fish sell prices, and cash earned from wallet/briefcase/treasure items.
- All fishing system prices are now comma-separated to make easier to read.
- Cuffed suspects can now enter interiors again.
- 'Building Fire' job event now has a larger area around the fire and allows more time to return to the scene of the fire.
- Vehicles acquired via a supply drop can no longer be stored in garages to become a personal vehicle.
- Deposit limits removed from ATM/bank. You can deposit all of your cash at once now.
  - You can enter 'all' in the deposit dialog to deposit all your wallet cash quickly.
- The 'Launch' boat and 'Cargobob' helicopter are now classed as a Military vehicles.
- 1v1 duels now start faster, without so much black screen delay.




- [DISCORD] 'Cop Ratio' in Discord /info command now shows as a percentage, and doesn't break if there's 0 cops.
- Some minor tweaks and fixes to improve the new player experience.
- Fixed Bandito bad refuel checkpoint position.
- Fixed issue where buying a vehicle from another player (/vsell /vbuy) and it was a plane, helicopter, or boat, it would prompt the buyer to select a garage.
  The purchased vehicle would then not show up in the intended Plane/Helicopter/Boat vehicle menus.
  Existing player vehicles have had their storage locations corrected.
- Fixed Daily Login Bonus sometimes not being awarded.
- Fixed 5 score given for cops escorting suspects to jail only being civilian score and not cop XP.
- Fixed 'Crime Scene Investigation' job event prematurely failing due to 'left the area' when chasing the final suspect.
- Fixed Ahab, Virtual and Access tires missing from the list of tires at gas stations.
- Fixed downing/revival still happening in duels even though it was supposedly disabled in a previous update.
- Fixed 'Buy a lotto ticket' daily objective not earned if you're a donator using /lotto to buy a ticket without visiting a store.

Version 1.14.17

WEAPON DAMAGE
Weapon damage values can now be adjusted without a script update or server restart.

Various weapon damage values have been changed:
  - Colt 45, Silenced Pistol, Desert Eagle, M4, and AK-47 damage increased (all ranges and drive-by)
  - All 3 shotguns' damage increased (drive-by)
  - Micro Uzi damage increased (long range)
  - MP5 damage increased (long range) and reduced (mid range)
  - Sniper Rifle and Country Rifle damage increased (all ranges)

All values are subject to change with or without prior notice. Feedback is welcomed on the forums.




- You can now @mention any player in a PM (they won't be alerted).
- Approaching a player with an active Chainsaw will now result in a 'weapon threat' crime.
- Action logs for player damage now shows the amount of damage done, the range, and the remaining health/armour of the victim.
- 'Drive Fast Challenge' daily objective now paired with Free Bird music (audio plugin required).
  - The time for the challenge has been increased from 2 minutes to 4 (to match the music).
  - Also the requirement to not crash has been removed.




- Rollerskater skins have been disabled based on community feedback.
  - Players that had these skins have had their skins set to a hilbilly.
- Players now die immediately in duels without being downed.
- Rustler and Seasparrow can now be entered by players in staff events.
- PSOs (Public Service Offences) now expire after 48 hours rather than 6.




- Fixed 'Player of the Week' list not displaying correctly during city change.
  - This was only a visual issue; rewards were always given correctly.
- Fixed players being able to bypass Sniper 'reload' animation between shots.
- Added additional measures to prevent players attempting to enter vehicles while downed/dying.
- Bribe rejection now logged in action logs.
- Fixed suspects being accused of 'Bribery' crime if a cop offers a bribe and the suspects reject it.
- Fixed certain interiors not included in action logs when being entered/exited.
- Fixed Valet mission completing after parking only 1 vehicle (should be 5).
- Fixed players starting a vehicle test drive while wanted under certain conditions.
- Fixed gas station in Doherty not registering any collision.
  - For example you wouldn't be able to call for a supply drop there as the ground would be 'missing'.



Apologies for the lack of frequent updates.
1.15 development is still ongoing and will take some time to get finished.

Hi everyone.

I thought it might be interesting to start a yearly tradition of looking back on MCNR's stats for the year. Unfortunately, I didn't code the stats in a way that makes this possible; there is no way to view stats just for a single year. I have however coded this in for next year!

For now, let's check out the stats since MCNR launched in April 2019. That's almost 4 years ago!

Version 1.14.16

Christmas Event Concluded

The 2022 Christmas event has now conluded. Thanks to everyone that took part!

- Going forward, global server stats are now saved per-year, meaning a yearly review of stats will be possible at the end of the year.
  - Of course this cannot be added retrospectively, so the outcome of this system will only be seen in 12 months' time.
- Added a message regarding the fact that you cannot hear boomboxes when you have headphones on.
- Added /criminals (/criminal /crime) help dialog regarding being a criminal.




- All job event GPS destinations now have names specified for the GPS display.
- /fext can now be used to take a fire extinguisher from inside an emergency vehicle.
  - This is not a new feature, but before you would have to navigate through 3 menus from within the interaction menu to do this.
- Improvements to /jobs dialog, including adding taxi driver job, explaining 'criminal' 'job' and explaining player colours.
- Added /events Discord command to view seasonal event stats.
- Seasonal collectables leaderboard (/giftranks, in-game and on Discord) now shows when each player found their last collectable.
  It will also not show players with 0 found any more.
- Player of the Week stats will no longer show if the player had 0 score/xp/crimes.
  - This doesn't often happen as there is generally enough player activity to have all 4 players of the week awarded.
- Entering the shooting range is now a key press rather than a dialog, to avoid accidentally interrupting players that didn't intend to walk into the checkpoint (e.g. during a fight inside Ammunation).




- Fixed a bug that prevented players being able to immediately enter a vehicle once it was broken into, and they would have to press the vehicle enter/exit button an additional time.
- 'Trashcan Fire' job event for Firefighters now sets a GPS destination.
- Fixed typos such as 'fightfighter' instead of 'firefighter' and 'extinuisher' instead of 'extinguisher'.
- Fixed Securicar mission timer persisting on-screen during city change.
- Fixed Securicar 'event' not ending if the vehicle was deleted.

News and Announcements / A NOTICE REGARDING THE USE OF VPNS

While we have never forbidden the use of VPNs (we're aware some players can't connect without a VPN), this is something we are considering in light of recent bot attacks and also because it facilitates ban evasion.

For now, VPNs will still be permitted, with the warning that you may get accidentally banned if you share the IP with someone else who gets banned.
However, we may, temporarily at times, block VPN connections to the server.
We'll only do this during attacks or in periods where we are dealing with serial ban evaders.
Staff will toggle the VPN restriction as they see fit. This 'feature' is still in 'beta'.

Due to recent events, older SA-MP client versions (0.3.7 (which includes Android) and 0.3.7 R2) are no longer allowed onto the server.
In order to join MCNR, you must have 0.3.7 R3, R4, or the latest recently released version, R5.
This is subject to change in either direction; we may allow them again, or we may disallow R3 or even R4.

- Xmas gifts can now be shot to collect them.




- Shooting NPCs no longer increases players' weapon skill levels, as it can be abused by repeatedly shooting an idle/invulnerable/dead NPC.
- Slightly increased 'Player of the Week' bonuses.




- Doherty construction yard portacabins are now 'detectable' in terms of collision.
  - For example, previously, if you tried to call for a supply drop on top of one, the script would think you were not on the ground.

Halloween Event 2022

The MCNR 2022 Halloween Event is now live!

- In the Halloween and Xmas seasonal events, pumpkins/gifts can now be collected by shooting them.
- Added /onlinetime (/ontime) to show how long you or others have been online for.
- In the maid mission, players can now hold two bags of trash at once.
- '/gps pv' and '/gps pv2' can now be used to quickly set GPS to active personal vehicles.
  - '/gps pv' will navigate to your PRIMARY active vehicle, and '/gps pv2' your SECONDARY one.




- Reduced Securicar initial engine/tire health (was 5000 and 250, now 3000 and 200).
- Lotto 'runner up' prize will no longer fully reset the jackpot amount, just reduce it by the amount paid out.
- Cops can no longer damage players that are being tazed.
- Buying maid upgrade for property would not clear existing trash, and would still acculumate up to 50% trash. The maid upgrade will now remove all trash, and trash will never regenerate.
- If a player is arrested inside a police department, they no longer lose their weapons, they get confiscated.




- Added additional debugging to fix a semi-rare server crash.
- Fixed vehicle armour being lost when a vehicle was repaired. It was supposed to keep its health.
- Fixed 'saved respawn position' not working for property interiors, resulting in players spawning in mid air.
- Fixed inconsistencies in vehicle recovery prices depending on the method used.
  - It was a lot cheaper to use the 'Repair engine' option on the /v menu than to request the vehicle and accept the recovery costs.
- Fixed 'Cop chase lasted XX:XX' spammed in chat every few seconds.
  - This also fixes the fact that cops were not getting the 'cop chase bonus' cash/xp.
- Fixed a bug where if a player quits while inside the garage of a modshop with 'last location' the spawn setting enabled, they could get stuck upon rejoining the server.
- Fixed maid mission panel bugging out and not showing correct number of piles to collect.
- Fixed players receiving free tazer ammo when previewing the contents of a supply drop before calling it.
- Fixed an issue in Lumberjack where any vehicle could be used to do the mission.



Future development
The next large update for MCNR will be version 1.15. Work is well underway, however it is going to take some time to get finished.
I'd like to thank @M3E6 and @ChrisAg for their continued help with development of 1.15.
I am eager to get 1.15 finished and released and share it with you all, but it's taking a considerable amount of time and effort to finish. Thank you for your patience so far.

Revision 1
- Shooting a pumpkin that is part of a decoration will now display a message to the player stating it is not collectable.
- Fixed pumpkins clipping into ground, some considerably (mostly in Las Venturas around Come-a-Lot).

Revision 2
CHANGES
- Player join messages are no longer shown as soon as the player connects.
  - They are now only shown when the player first spawns with a new account, or logs into an existing account.
  - The 'x has arrived in San Andreas' message is gone, replaced with the normal join message.
  - The 'x has logged in' message is gone, replaced with the normal join message.
  - Staff will still see join messages when players first connect.
  - The reason behind this change is to avoid players' chats being spammed when there is a bot attack or spammer.
- Re-enabling the server HUD elements with /hud will no longer enable ALL of them, but only the ones that you had enabled before.
- Manually re-enabling part of the server HUD yourself in /settings will now exit 'hidden hud' mode.

FIXES
- Fixed a hole in the map above a business doorway near Dillimore PD.
- Fixed an issue where NPCs like trains did not have their blip colors set if the halloween event was active.
- Fixed actors which weren't supposed to be able to be robbed being able to be robbed.

Hi everyone. The time is upon us to celebrate Halloween! The Halloween event will run from the 7th of October to the 1st of November.

The event includes the following activities.



Halloween Candy & Candy Leaderboard
Halloween Candy is a form of score that you obtain through all the different activies there are. The players with the most candy at the end of the event will receive a substantial cash prize!

Prizes will be awarded on the 1st of November when the event concludes.

Pumpkin Hunt
There are 450 pumpkins scattered across the cities of Los Santos, San Fierro, and Las Venturas (150 per city, inner city only, none in countryside).
Find a pumpkin and either crouch beside it or shoot it to collect it.

Every time you find a certain number of pumpkins, you'll get a prize. Prizes include seasonal clothing, cash prizes, and more.



Prizes are awarded at the following number of pumpkins found:

Trick or Treat
Knock on doors around San Andreas to Trick or Treat them for candy!


Simply approach any property that has an owner and either knock or the door or ring the bell.
Type /trickortreat (/tot) in-game for info.

Please note that you cannot revisit a property within a 24 hour period.



Cauldron
Visit the Cauldron between the hours of midnight and 6am for a chance at random prizes and cash rewards.


Prizes include:
- Score/candy
- Cash
- Weapons and ammo
- Health and armour
- Free vehicle credits
- Seasonal clothing (see section below)
- and some other stuff we'll let you discover yourself!

Cauldrons are located at the following locations in-game:

Los Santos: Pershing Square (Los Santos Police Department)


San Fierro: City Hall (Bank)


Las Venturas: Roca Escalate (Las Venturas Police Department)


See /cauldron in-game for help and to find the cauldrons via the GPS.



Possession

Players have a chance to become 'possessed' through various ways in-game, such as via the Cauldron or from other players.
Once you are possessed, you can pass on your possession to other players.
If you are possessed you will see strange effects which you'll want to quickly pass on to others to stop your suffering!
You can possess another player with /possess or by pressing Y while looking at them to open the player interaction menu and selecting 'Possess'.
Medics can also cure your possession, or you may visit a hospital.



Seasonal Clothing

There are various items of limited time seasonal clothing items to be obtained, including:
- Witch hat
- Pumpkin head
- Cauldron
- Devil mask

You will obtain the items in the order they appear above. For example, if you already have a witch hat, you'll get a pumpkin head, then a cauldron etc.

These clothing items can only be obtained during the Halloween event, so get them while you can!
You can obtain clothing items through the Cauldron, Pumpkin Hunt, and Trick or Treating.

Version 1.14.13


- In action logs, if the player within the logs is online, their ID will now be shown.
  - For example, instead of just 'Robbed $69 from James' it will show 'Robbed $69 from James (42)'.
  - Staff only: If the player is offline, it will show their account ID.




'Drive fast' daily objective changes:
- The daily objective 'drive over 100mph' has had the name/description corrected to 75kmh.
- When completing the 'drive fast' daily objective, progress (time remaining) is now shown on-screen (unless on a mission).
- If you drop below the target speed it will now show how long you lasted.

- When selling a vehicle purchased with a free vehicle credit, the amount of money will only be equivalent to what you'd get for selling a vehicle credit.
  - This will only affect vehicles purchased using vehicle credits AFTER this update.
- The price boundaries for /vsell have been adjusted to -$50,000 and +$1,000,000 (the value sale value compared to the price paid).
  - Previous values were -$100,000 and +$5,000,000.
- Job paydays are now every 24 minutes played (real time) instead of 72.
- The time shown to 'next payday' in /payday now shows seconds as well as minutes.
- The 'You have been recently attacked' checkpoint etc. disabling is no longer effective if you damaged yourself, rather than another player damaging you.
- Players are now automatically released from jail upon their sentence being served (if they have the cash for their bail).
- /credits updated, and can now be updated without a script update and server restart.




- Fixed issue where when selling vehicles, they were being sold based on the vehicle's new value, rather than the price the player paid.
- Fixed repairing Cargobob at an airport checkpoint not restoring to full 1500hp.
- If you run out of ammo in passenger drive-by, it now cycles to the next weapon (if one is available).
- Disabled robbable safe inside Madd Dogg's mansion (wasn't supposed to be public yet, it's part of 1.15 and not finished!).
- If a player ends safe cracking during the cash taking part, it will now allow other players to take the remaining cash.

Version 1.14.12

I did previously say I wanted to focus only on 1.15, which for those of you that don't know, will be the next major update for MCNR.
However, a few things needed fixing/addressing, and I worked in a few other minor additions and improvements.

I hope this small update will tide you all over until 1.15 is ready (which is going to be a while).
There will probably be a couple of smaller updates before then, as I now realise having no updates whatsoever sucks.




- Added /jv command to quickly request a job vehicle without nagivating through the interaction menu.
- You can now pay another player's bail and get them out of jail.
- Securicar guards can now request police backup with /backup (/bk).
- You can now use /popup (/p) to close the current on-screen information popup.
  Note that doing this frequently or habitually will likely lead to you missing an important message.
- Picking up cash dropped by the Securicar is now a crime.
- All players will now hear a notification when receiving PMs.
  - This was previously only audible for players with the audio plugin.
  - The existing /setting to toggle @mention sounds will affect this also.
- Selecting an achievement (/achievement) will now show the reward for completing it.
- Vending machines are now in the GPS. Simply use '/gps vending' or '/gps vend' or select from the /gps menu.
- Added /kills /deaths /kd to view your recent kill/death log.




- Police roadblock objects can no longer be placed near interior entrances.
- /picklotto and /lottopick have been removed, and the /lotto command will now do everything.
  - Typing just '/lotto' will show help. It will also now show your selected number, if you've selected one.
  - [DONATORS ONLY] Typing '/lotto list' will show a list of available numbers.
  - [DONATORS ONLY] Typing '/lotto [number]' will pick your number.
- Train tickets are now voided if the player becomes wanted.
- /cooldown (reset mission cooldown timers) has been removed.
- Mission cooldown timer list (/cooldown) is now formatted in a dialog for easier viewing (was in chat).
- Player robbery (/rob) is now a separate crime and logs correctly for both players in the action log (/actions).
- If a player quits with a lottery number selected, the ticket cost will now be refunded.
- Players will now be given less cash for re-watching the intro tutorial ($1000 instead of $5000).
- Cops must be on duty for 5 minutes before they can parole a player from jail.
  This is to prevent players going on duty just to do this.
- /thinfo now redirects to /treasurehunt. Previosuly it only showed debug information.
- Vehicle licence plates can no longer be changed on mission vehicles.
- When a player puts a property up for sale, the price is now shown to everyone in chat.
- When a player cancels a property sale, this is now shown for all in chat.
- Bullet damage against vehicles increased by 50%.
- Reduced the intensity of bicycles spinning when shot.




- Fixed player cash being reduced by the server (lowered client cash correction) when players are desynced or laggy.
- Fixed donators being able to select 0 as lotto number with '/picklotto 0'.
- Measures such as 'you cannot enter/exit an interior again so soon' and while damaged are now applied the PD doors.
- Fixed tow truck driver unable to deliver vehicle if they have a passenger.
- /rpv will no longer despawn your vehicle instantly (5 second delay) as it allows players to bypass the 'bail out' animation.
- Fixed quit to avoid being triggered on city change leading to players being put in jail for no reason.

Scam awareness

The team at MCNR is dedicated to ensuring all players are safe, happy, and having fun. This includes trying to protect players from being scammed.

If someone offers you something in exchange for you sending them in-game cash, assume you're going to get scammed.

A common thing we're seeing is players offering to donate on behalf of other players if they send them in-game cash. The player sends them millions of in-game dollars, never to see them again.

Do NOT participate in any deals/trades with players that involves you sending them in-game cash and then them sending you something in return (or doing something for you such as donating). The only safe transactions are ones fully handled by the script, such as property/vehicle sales.

MCNR staff cannot refund any funds lost due to being scammed, nor can we guarantee that we will investigate such incidents, unless the scammer is actively advertising their scam.

MCNR staff may be able to act as a middleman in such situations to protect you, but this is up to individual admins and we do not guarantee this. Nor do we guarantee the admin won't be doing the scamming (but of course they won't be admin much longer after that..).

You have been warned. Stay vigilant!

Introduction
Dwayne Island has been temporarily removed to investigate its possible link to recent lag/packetloss.




- Players are now frozen for 1 second when leaving the shooting range to prevent accidental punching.
- 'Mission failed' stats box now cannot be closed for 5 seconds to prevent accidental closure.
- The 'vigilante bonus' for any player killing a most wanted player has been removed.
  - Cops are still authorised to take down most wanted players on sight.
- Swapped 'return to storage' and 'summon' menu items in the active vehicle menu.




- Prevented use of /refreshtarget when not in shooting range.
- Another possible fix for personal vehicle mods not saving correctly.

Android fixes:
- Allowed use of 'F' to skip intro tutorial.
- Fixed key prompts not showing correctly.
- 'Spawn selection' will no longer try to happen, it will revert to 'last location'.
- Fixed empty dialogs constantly being shown on the screen.
- Help popups are moved down to avoid being covered by the ''>> TAB' buttons.
- Popups for 'Your SA-MP client is outdated' and 'You don't have the audio plugin' will no longer show.
- Fixed subtitle text to 'Use arrows to select a skin and press shift to spawn' being stuck on-screen at the start of the intro tutorial.
- Suspects are now automatically arrested and teleported to jail once cuffed, as cuffing isn't supported on Android.
- Removed the 'drop the soap' graphic in jail (its original purpose was to cover the radar).
- Fixed jail key prompt showing no key names e.g. 'Press  for jail menu' where it should say to press N.
- Player join messages now mention if players are playing on mobile/Android.
- Added 'Is Android/mobile' to /info (/i) so you can check if a player is playing using Android/mobile.
- Added a message box when players join using Android warning them of issues and rules.

Known issues / Known issues with Android version

As you may be aware, MCNR has opened the gates to all 0.3.7 SA-MP versions, which means SA-MP Android/Mobile can now access the server.

Unfortunately, there are some issues with the Android version. Some we can fix, some we can't, and some we won't.
I wanted to document this somewhere.

Luckily, we can easily detect Android players and apply fixes just for them (in some cases).



Black screen when spawning
Issue: When players first spawn, they are greeted by a black screen.

Solution: Skip spawn selection, force-spawn the player.

Status: Fixed in next update, will force 'last location' spawn.
It would be nice to try and fix spawn selection, though.


Interior enter/exit pickups missing model
Issue: The yellow cone/arrow object model does not exist on Android, so players see a '?' at the doors.

Solution: Change the model.

Status: I don't want to change the model! It's the only one that looks right. You can't change it for certain players.

Auto aim
Problem: There is an auto-aim built into the game! It's off by default though.

Solution: Staff will monitor Android players closely to check for aimbotting. I will be adding an in-game warning about this that shows when you join with the Android version, among other things.

Status: Not started.

Cuffing
Problem: Cuffed players don't actually get cuffed. They can run around, drive vehicles etc. because the 'cuffed' state doesn't seem to be supported on the Android version of SA-MP.

Solution: Manually preventing players from sprinting, entering vehicles etc. will have to be done. It won't be a pretty solution. I can't make players put their hands behind their back..

Status: Android players will be automatically teleported to jail once cuffed.

Draw distance
Problem: The game's draw distance on the Android version is extremely low. This may cause issues with certain objects loading in. For example the 'changing city' scene will show almost nothing, because buildings etc. are too far away.

Solution: There is no solution to this.

Status: None.

Nametags visible through walls
Problem: Player nametags are visible through all objects/walls.

Solution: I cannot change this. The most I can possibly do is reduce the nametag draw distance (for all players) in interiors.
I could implement a crude line-of-sight check, but that's going to need CPU so not worth it.

Status: Not started.

Interface/textdraws
Problem: Many textdraws/interface elements will be misplaced, overlapping, too small, too big and so on.

Solution: Make the UI suited for Android.

Status: I won't be making any real effort to improve the UI as long as it's functional, just for a fraction of players that aren't expecting it to be perfect anyway.
Update: I will be moving the info/help popups on the left side of the screen down a bit for Android players so they aren't underneath the '>> TAB' buttons.


Blank dialogs appearing
Problem: Often, 'blank' dialogs appear on the screen, with no text in the dialog or the buttons. It's because, in SA-MP usually, telling the game to show a blank dialog will actually close any open dialogs. There is no other way to close a dialog for the player. The main issue is that the script 'closes' dialogs even if there are none shown, as there's no adverse effect from doing so, until Android came along..

Solution: Don't hide dialogs if there isn't a dialog to hide. It won't fix the issue 100% but it's all I can do.

Status: Done for next update. The script will only hide dialogs if any are actually shown. It will still result in a blank dialog in that situation but at least it's less often.

No skin selection, no job skins
Problem: It appears skin/spawn selection simply doesn't work.
a) It means 'spawn selection' doesn't work. Players have to spawn using 'last location', 'random' or 'property'.
b) Changing skin in a clothes shop or police locker room doesn't work.
c) Going on duty for the first time as a new job doesn't work. This means, for example, you can't play as a cop.

Solution: Bypass/block these features e.g. players can use the skin menu at the counter, and spawn either randomly or at last location.

Status: So the << >> SPAWN inferface does seem to pop up for a brief moment. I may be able to fix it. The way that the MCNR script handles spawn selection is beyond jank (because it has to be to work).

Can't skip intro tutorial
It appears players can't skip the intro tutorial, as it expects players to press SPRINT which is not possible on SA-MP Android while in 'spectator mode'.

Solution: Change the key, or add an additional one to press.

Status: I added 'Y' as another key to press, but I now remember that Y/N and maybe H cannot be detected in 'spectator mode'. I may use F or ALT, which are available and should work.
Update: I have changed the key to 'F' which works fine.

Key names not shown in texts
Problem: Key names don't show in texts, e.g. instead of 'Press SHIFT to skip' it will be left blank e.g. 'Press   to skip' or show internal 'k-codes' such as 'Press ~k~~KEY_NAME_THING~ to skip'.

Solution: Show key binds instead of the actual keys, e.g. 'Press SPRINT to skip' instead of 'Press SPACE/X/whatever to skip'.

Status: I have fixed this in jail for the next update.

CJ skin
Problem: It seems players can get the CJ skin when joining the server, as the skin selection gets skipped and SA-MP therefore never sets a skin for the player.

Solution: Manually set the player's skin, don't rely on SA-MP to do it.

Status: Not started.

You can't hold Y to open the interaction menu
Problem: Holding the 'extra keys' on Android such as Y/N/H doesn't seem to be detected. This makes it impossible to open the interaction menu via holding Y.

Solution: Players should use /im instead. Maybe there should be a message about this.

Status: Not started.

You can't tap buttons quickly when breaking into vehicles or the evidence locker
Problem: You can't tap the vehicle enter button or punch very quickly, meaning it takes longer to do things such as breaking into vehicles or the evidence locker.

Solution: I could possibly make it require less hits to complete a break-in. Or players can hold the punch icon, which makes it able to be repeated faster.

Status: Not started.

Clock not shown
Problem: The clock is not shown in the hud, time does not pass properly, and weather transitions instantly.

Solution: There is no solution. The Android version doesn't seem to support the clock...
The clock already re-syncs every 4 minutes. I could make it sync every second possibly.

Status: Nothing I can do.

This is a minor update to address a couple of issues, and there's a couple of small improvements, too.

- Players can no longer drop weapons at doorway enter/exits.
- Decathlon reward payouts increased, including DOUBLE for finishing in 1st place.

- Potential fix for issue with personal vehicle mods not being saved correctly, overwriting saved mods.
- Fixed Sniper Rifle and Country Rifle triggering rapidfire anticheat in shooting range.

POTENTIAL LAG/PACKETLOSS FIX
This update contains a POTENTIAL fix for the recent lag/packetloss issues.
This is NOT a confirmed fix. We will monitor for a while and gather feedback later.




- Personal vehicle mods applied in modshops are now saved immediately rather than when exiting the modshop.
  - This prevents situations where players crash while in a modshop losing the money they spent on the mods and them not being saved.
- The maximum tip that can be given after receiving a service has been increased from $1000 to $5000.
- Medical fees have been reduced to: $1000 + 0.1% of player wealth, capped at $5,000.
  - Subject to further change based on community feedback.
  - Values can now be adjusted at 'runtime', without a script update.
  - With this new formula, medical fees reach the $5,000 cap for players with $4m.
- Public services (cop/medic/fire) no longer pay medical fees again.
- Players no longer charged medical fees after losing a 1v1 duel. They will respawn where they accepted the duel rather than at the hospital.
- Cops will no longer be equipped with full health and armour when going on duty.




- Fixed an issue where personal vehicle colors were not saved correctly when a paintjob was applied.
- Fixed garage labels not updating to remove 'ACTIVE' label if a new vehicle is requested and one is returned to storage automatically.
- Fixed a bug where invalid vehicle components (mods) were added to personal vehicles.
- Fixed Valet mission only requiring 1 vehicle to be parked (was set as such for testing).
- Fixed vehicles in properties not showing correctly (or at all) in the vehicle menu (/v).
