There's nothing to "get over" here. Rules are here for a reason and they're supposed to be followed. However, as I mentioned in my original post, some staff members are ignoring it and some are even abusing it themselves. This makes the whole team look unprofessional and it needs to be fixed, either by changing/editing the rules so it's publicly known that abusing bugs is okay OR by starting to take actions against players and staff members who abuse bugs.

It's entirely your choice (Mike and/or M3E6) what you want this server to be, but something needs changing because this isn't working out - you can't keep saying one thing and then do something completely opposite. You also can't blame the script for everything, it's exactly why you have rules to fill in the gaps.

EDIT: if we are indeed okay with abusing bugs that your script doesn't detect, does that mean I can also go around ninjajacking players? I can call it a game feature too, just like cbug.

There's also a 1-2 second reload animation every time you fire with sniper/rifle, which again they abuse by simply pressing 'c'. I get that dmers do it, obviously it helps, however staff not doing anything to stop them, matter of fact staff doing exactly that alongside with them and showing it here in their cbug montages makes the whole administration look like a joke imo.

If you're trying to make gameplay as fair as possible, with constantly making updates and adjustments to guns to avoid all the different kind of abusing, how can you allow this to happen? It just makes no sense to me.. Trying to make something as perfect as you possibly can, spending hours and hours on scripting and testing while at the same time allowing players to take a shit on it.

And no, don't blame the script. There will always be new bugs to abuse, no matter how frequent the updates are. Blame the players for taking advantage of it and do proper actions to (hopefully) stop them from doing the same in future.

Why would you have to rely on a script doing the work for you? You can easly make it a rule (actually it already is a rule). There will always be ways to go around the script abusing bugs and that's supposed to be reported and players abusing punished, not publicly shown for people to learn and do the same. At least you would expect that from staff members, right? Since they're the ones doing it as well, what's the point of playing fair? They're the model we're supposed to follow, so where will that lead us?

While we're at it, not sure how you can even script such a thing when you're able to use c combined with deagle for it's actual purpose - crouching. They're not spamming it because the script blocks it, however that doesn't mean what they're doing no longer counts as cbug.

Let's not get into the fact they move faster with deagle cos of their unlocked fps, cbug faster because of it, making it basically impossible to lock them with a chainsaw while they're moving and shooting you(which isn't the case with clean game files). They're taking a piss and ya'll keep your mouths open and accept it graciously. Why though? Is it because you're afraid you might lose them? That shouldn't be a concern for a server which would prevail even without them, IMO.

The actual point of me making this topic though is because you're defending both completely opposite sides. You can't throw x updates to lower bug abuse to a bare minimum, and at the same time be cool with people abusing their way back. You either make it OK to abuse bugs or you don't. Simple. Admins punishing players for it, while at the same time praising them when they make a video of it. Where's the logic in that

Pretty sure there was a discussion about whether or not people on this server wanted "dirty" fighting (aka cbug, 2shot etc) or a normal gameplay, and we ended up with the normal, clean gameplay. Months after that, we got the forced reload animation update so even the old regular "normal" gameplay was changed and is now what it is.

So, you clearly don't want any kind of abuse here, and that is okay. But, if that's the case, how come you're allowing players to post their videos, montages or whatever you wanna call them in which they're flexing with their cbugs, basically taking a piss on all your work for abuse-less gameplay? How come admins (which post there) are approving and praising them? How come the people who remove the sniper/rifle reload animation by pressing 'c' are actually staff members, publicly showing off their abuse knowledge without a single care?

Anyhow, the point of this topic is, that you gotta change something. If you want a clean gameplay then make it clean. If it means trashing everyone's clips (so people can see they're not supposed to do that) and issuing infractions then why not start doing it?
If however you're cool with them abusing a bug which makes your update pointless - then undo the update and let us have the old gameplay without any kind of forced reload animations, and consider publicly allowing players to abuse everything there is, since you're already doing it kinda.

It's fine if it says the car is damaged, but fixing it automatically would be silly - what's the point of using any of the vehicle repair shops or manually fixing flat tires when you could just get a brand new car every time you use the 'call car' thing?

This protection was added mainly because new cops don't know the rules and would randomly shoot at civilians. This however doesn't teach them anything, they can still shoot at your cars (and do), they can still kill you when you're unarmed (and do), so why keep this? If we can make a complaint about them doing that, we may as well complain about them randomly shooting our skin. Again, people abuse this a lot and there's no way to protect yourself right now. We're forced to wait until they turn orange and that's usually when we're already without our armor so the fight isn't fair at all.

The original post was supposed to be like, give players damage immunity only if it comes from a new cop, low level cop or a cop with less than x hours. That way you'd still keep the original point of this feature (although it isn't really needed and whoever whined about it could just whined in /report or forums), and regular cops would be able to protect themselves like civilians can.

Yes this would be great. Not only would you then have a weapon to kill people in aircrafts (which you now don't, meaning a person can avoid being killed as long as he's mid-air), including the dogfights which are really fun, but we would finally be able to use an aircraft which isn't slow and can land almost anywhere.

Making it unlock at level 100 would make it safe, so people won't randomly shoot anyone and even if they do they can be punished, and since it takes a while to get to lvl100 those players are regulars players so it actually will hurt them.

Other than shooting, rustler is the only aircraft that's fast and has the ability to land/take off in almost every road. This means it has potential to be used in missions, any kind of long-distance delivery really, and also there was talk about unique air-delivery missions coming in future, so this would fit perfectly. This isn't just a thing that destroys vehicles, there's more to it.. Just casually flying around, doing stunts or flying through tunnels is something people do, and you can't have the same result nor satisfaction with the slow ass dodo or helicopter. Not to mention it takes a while to get good at it, so not everybody will use it. I don't think any nerfing is required, since it's only lethal once you figure out how to properly use it..just like any other weapon.

The only issue with this, is what would dmers do with it. Hunting cops is -for whatever reason- allowed so this would mean you could just fly around the city and destroy everyone's vehicle. This is a problem, yes, HOWEVER, don't pretend this isn't a problem right now. If you want to fix it, fix it by changing the rules, not by limiting us of any extra features because some people like dming. Considering there aren't any decent pilots around from what i've seen, although rarely anyone plays a solo cop anyway so even if there were any i wouldn't notice it, this wouldn't be an issue at all. If this is the only reason why you wouldn't want to add it, again, start by fixing the gameplay and the rules because the pointless DM right now wouldn't be any different than the pointless DM with rustlers.

It's just as hard as it would be if you were a cop. Proving DM is not an easy task, not even /crimes as a civilian is enough since you could have, for example, pushed his car into water. There's no way of knowing what happened before you started recording and you're pretty much left to showing a video from the moment you/him joined the server to prove your innocence. Complaining ingame might get you more luck, since admins can then spectate the player and see what his gameplay is really like.

Not entirely sure why civilians are so protected, even the yellow ones. They're untouchable even when they are attacking you (until they turn orange). This needs to be completely removed. If you're scared of new cops causing trouble, limit their damage - not everyones. This would help us a lot with defending ourselves, since people abuse this quite a lot.

People say team up with someone in order to take down gangs..uhh, how can i team up with someone when half of the cops are gang members and they won't help you in arresting their friends, and the other half are noobs which will just slow you down. And it's not that they don't help you, it's that they sometimes help their friends..join a fight, only kill the rival gang members and bribe their own. I'm not saying gang members shouldn't be allowed to play as cops (although that would be ideal), but at the very least the 'career switch' should be limited to once per game week (or longer).

Helicopters - yes they're shit, don't use them..even if someone is on top of a building don't waste your time, it's not worth it. Just go for a different criminal, and if there aren't any just stay afk. Why? Because it takes too long and they can just jump down which ends up with them dying but still not arrested because you weren't close enough.

Cars - you can buy your own car, just farm up some cash and buy cheetah/infernus. Cars in pd garage are slow and unreliable.

Cash - yes, cops need more cash for arrests/takedowns..and i don't mean a small raise, i mean they literally need 5x the current pay to make some minimal profit after a job well done.

Tazer - it's fine I guess..but u will rarely use it since 90% of criminals are armed anyway so you won't get a chance to arrest them

Bribes - I agree, this is annoying. You chase someone, you somehow manage to destroy their vehicle, you then somehow manage to win a 1v1, and it all ends up with them instantly bribing someone for $500, getting out, their weapons waiting for them in the locker, their car teleporting to them in a few seconds. What's the point of playing a cop, really..not only do you don't profit but you aren't even useful since it takes them less than a minute to get back at the same spot they were in before you arrested them.
How to fix this? dunno..limit the bribes to 1-2 per week, maybe force a rank demotion after it.

You can get a list of wanted players from the npc in the pd or by just checking scoreboard.
Then you can do /loc (id) to see their precise location with distance how far they are from you.
Problem here is when you're near a criminal (you can see orange/red square on the minimap) you don't know which ID they are until you get close enough, which puts you in danger. If we had the ability to see a list of all criminals, so we can check who they are, where they are, and their recent crimes (whether or not they are armed) it would make our job a lot easier. I usually get in a situation when there's 2 or 3 criminals at the same spot, not only do i not know who they are until i get super close (which means they can just destroy my vehicle and kill me) but i don't know whether or not they're armed and am i supposed to do go for taze-arrest or straight for the kill.

On topic - the stuff above + more rewards (cash) needs to be added for COPS, not some new class or whatever this suggestion is supposed to be.

Shooting the vehicle's gas tank makes it explode much faster than just shooting at the vehicle.

Players that are on fire (caused by walking over fire or a Molotov) are unable to shoot until the fire wears off. Use this as an advantage when fighting multiple targets.

Unlike gas stations, pay'n'spray and transfenders require you to have money in your pocket (not just the bank account) in order to use it, so always carry some with you.

You can't talk about "protecting yourself" when you're the person who started the fight..that's what's wrong with this. There is no "self defense" if you are the one who came after the cop. If it was the other way around, then by all means, kill him. But chasing and killing cops who haven't done anything to you is wrong..I really don't understand how people don't get this.

Again, if this kind of gameplay is okay to the developer, then at least let cops have the same freedom. Currently civilians only have to think about colorus..like..BLUE OR RED = KILL , WHITE OR YELLOW = KILL ONLY WHEN THEY DO SOMETHING TO YOU. While cops have shit ton of rules to follow..when to arrest, when to taze, when to use weapons, who is armed who is unarmed in this group of people - who can i shoot who can't i shoot, what to do when the person is in water, what to do when the person is on a high building, what to do when the person is paused, where exactly to shoot a bike so you don't harm the unarmed criminal..list goes on and on and on. And it's all to preserve a life of a civilian (who loses the same amount of cash as we do on death btw), who will 2 and a half minutes later buy guns and go on a DM spree against you and your fellow officers. It makes no sense..if they're free to screw us over for absolutely no reason why should we have to be so very RPish and never ever harm them?

I also think all members of a crew HAVE TO use a tag, otherwise I can't tell if it's some random fucking idiot assisting in the escape of a criminal or it's a "somewhat official" crew member.
This is a good suggestion. Let ONLY crew members defend other players from the same crew. Also, keep the "u need to be close in order to help your crew member", so people don't just drive 10miles to kill you while you're jumping around trying to taze a guy(their crew member).

This would fix the issue (kind of) with the random people attacking you. Also, this would mean crews can't defend other crews nor any other non-crew players, even when there's a fight (cops vs criminals) outside the bank.

It's not really about any specific crew, it's about their gameplay which ruins the other (not dmer's kind) of game. I don't think people are complaining about Crews, but the amount of DM in general, which unfortunately is caused by the rules. Of course, certain amount of killing will always be present, and that is alright because otherwise the game wouldn't be appealing, however certain scenarios just make me personally close the game and I know i'm not the only one.

Some people join here just to chill, yet they can't really play in peace. You can't even start trucking because some clown might come to you and kill you in order to "steal your vehicle". You as a cop can't collect tikis or do anything in public, hell, you can't even stay AFK for a few seconds inside the freaking police department because civilians are able to use guns and they made it their playground. The moment you spawn as a cop you are in danger. Anyone with a wanted level is free to kill you regardless of what you're doing.

Because of the "protecting your friend is okay" combined with the stuff i said above, cops on this server are a joke. Seriously though, no one is "scared" when they see you around. You can literally fuck around with them, pretend you have no guns let him cuff you then your 4 friends just destroy him. It makes no sense to play as a cop, for me at least. Go arrest some random on the street, anyone (closeby) can kill you and just say "hey, he's my friend". Also the cop rewards suck, I know this is out of topic, but let me just say a few quick words: most criminals are armed, meaning you lose both guns, armor, health, possibly a car, fuel and all that..and even if you win all you get is like $300 which doesn't cover up a single loss from the list above. Civilians in a single bank rob (which is super easy considering there are a dozen civilians there and cops have no chance) sometimes get like 100x the cash cop's do. Literally..I need to do 100 arrests, while some dude can just pick a free moneybag in already a empty bank and get it in like 1 minute (and for 100 arrests it takes me uhmm..dunno, you calculate it).

So uhmm tldr; rules are making this a sort of DM server, if you're going to change anything it should be that. Crews aren't really a problem, since they don't even fight each other (which is kinda the meaning of gangs, right? lol..wack leaders). Not sure what crew system brings, or how it would affect the current game, but imo crews now are fine. I'm saying they're fine because they don't do any more damage than people who play together but aren't in crews.. However, the fact that different crews team up to kill cops together..that just kills off the whole meaning of this server. What it should be is that they should kill each other in order to get a moneybag, not help each other out. Maybe consider lowering the amount of moneybags (in bank) to like 3.

Over at other CnR servers some balance exists. Of course, different servers, different features, different gameplay. However, the similarity is that both civilians and cops are balanced. This unfortunately isn't the case here. Cops are a joke and that's the reality. If you're okay with 20 civilians killing cops in bank, then consider removing the 'always arrest if the guy is unarmed'. It's entirely up to you what you want this server to be, more RPish or more DMish, but make it balanced. If civilians are free to kill anyone for petty reasons you can't burden cops with 100 rules to always preserve life when possible..it just doesn't work. This is still a relatively new server, it isn't too late to change the rules. Blame the players, honestly.. We wouldn't be here bitching if the players didn't push us to. I know this is kind of a long "tldr", but cba editing it..I just wanted to share my opinion.

So basically, if you want to lower DM, you should change the rules. No more protecting friends UNLESS they are in your car thus in danger. No killing over petty reasons, like wanting ur car(since they can just spam F to take it away) or killing cops based on the color of your nametag.
Or, if you want to keep the above, let cops kill criminals instead of arresting them. Boost their pay, maybe toss in some better weapons or cars with more hp so they actually stand a chance. It probably won't be enough, but it's a start. Oh right, also remove the ability for gang members to change to cops so they can't just bail their friends out.

1. Further from cops
2. You can do way more with the money from bank in terms of buying weapons then stealing weapons directly from pd.
3. And the pd weps not always will be the ones you'll want.
True, but it's better than being unarmed when you /escape from your cell. Instead of trying to drive away you would then be able to fight your way through to safety.. That's pretty much the only useful scenario. Guns are super cheap and in any other case you'd just buy it from ammunation. That's also one of the reasons we don't really need the OP's kind if locker imo.

As someone said before, what's the point of arresting someone if they can get back everything they lost. Death costs like $500, bribing your friend / escaping removes the "punishment" time, your vehicle is teleported to you with just a few clicks, and now you can even get your weapons back.

I'd rather see the 'weapon locker' as a spot you can rob and get/steal weapons from..not the ones you lost but the ones that are stored in PD and belong to the cops. However it should give you the same wanted level as a bank robbery, and it should be just as "difficult" to crack the lock.

edit: maybe not an instant MW and the super complicated code as the bank, but being arrestable and doing some sort of cracking seems better than making it unlock that easly and get away with only a ticket.

You do realize in order for someone to get punished admin needs to review the complaint, not just take his word for it. You'd have to prove that you didn't in any way harm that person, same as if you were a civilian complaining about DM. There's no "more job" in this, it would just be a new rule which would lower the amount of DM on this server. So obviously, 10second videos wouldn't be accepted because something could have happened before you started recording (you arresting him or assisting in his arrest/death etc). However, some players keep DMing cops over and over again, so it wouldn't really be that hard to catch (especially for admins, who have the power to spectate and see their gameplay).
