Rejected Suggestions / Cancelling bounties after bounty placer quits

As the title says, bounty should be removed once the bounty placer leaves the server. Why? Because if someone wants to kill me, I should be able to get revenge on him. As a cop, not only do you not have the ability to place a bounty back on him, but after he quits you're pretty much destined to die because the whole server is allowed to kill you (for over an hour).

Of course the bounty placer might crash, so consider giving him a few minutes to rejoin(although that's not really crucial, since he could manually place the bounty again)..if however he doesn't reconnect the bounty should be removed.

Whether or not he gets his money back is up to you, I don't have an opinion on that.

I thought this was already a thing but guess not..the suggestion would be to remove bounty from you once you kill the person who placed it.

Why? Well first of, because otherwise I'd have a good reason to kill the bounty placer over and over again without him doing anything to me. Why? Because he's responsible for every player hunting me down. Right now, even after I kill the placer, I don't really get anything from it since I'm still in the same trouble and everyone is still chasing me - meaning i still have a damn good reason to kill the bounty placer again.

If you want an RPish reason, who's gonna pay the hitmen if the person who placed the bounty is already dead? Of course this would mean the bounty should be canceled on his death even if it isn't related to me, which may still be a decent suggestion, i'll leave you to decide..

If however you find the first one better (me being the killer) please make it so if he dies near you, bounty gets removed..because someone might take the last shot and steal the kill (meaning you'd have to go and kill him again even though you assisted in killing him in the first place, which would be DM, i guess), or maybe the game won't recognize you killing him (like shooting a car on fire and killing the driver trying to get out doesn't get recognized).

Not entirely sure if this is supposed to go in the bugs/glitches section, if so, move it there.

I've only encountered this with the few trucks I drove but there are probably some other (longer) vehicles as well that have the same issue. As you can see on the screenshots, I cannot reach the red circle (checkpoint), so I can't get the menu window popped and fix my vehicle..Not every xoomer has this problem, but here are 2 (3 if you count the montgomery one, since my truck is too high to get inside) which I came across today..

The suggestion would be to move the checkpoints few meters back so we can use it without any issues..OR, if that's too much work, add a command or something which would pop the window if we're standing close to the checkpoint. Again, there might be some more gas stations with the same issue, I haven't really tested a lot of them out.

Implemented Suggestions / Removing/reducing cooldown on truck missions

Trucking isn't a very common thing to see on this server, maybe because of the low profit, but the thing that annoyed me the most is the cooldown. After a 2-3min ride I had to wait 30seconds to start another one which is kind of a buzz kill and makes me not want to do another one.

Basically the suggestion would be to reduce, or ideally remove the cooldown completely between truck deliveries. I don't really consider trucking a mission, and wouldn't compare it to delivering pizza or mail. It's more of a job thing for me and I'd like to drive without having to wait.

Fishing doesn't have cooldown, this shouldn't either, especially since you don't get a lot of cash from it.

Pretty sure there was a discussion about whether or not people on this server wanted "dirty" fighting (aka cbug, 2shot etc) or a normal gameplay, and we ended up with the normal, clean gameplay. Months after that, we got the forced reload animation update so even the old regular "normal" gameplay was changed and is now what it is.

So, you clearly don't want any kind of abuse here, and that is okay. But, if that's the case, how come you're allowing players to post their videos, montages or whatever you wanna call them in which they're flexing with their cbugs, basically taking a piss on all your work for abuse-less gameplay? How come admins (which post there) are approving and praising them? How come the people who remove the sniper/rifle reload animation by pressing 'c' are actually staff members, publicly showing off their abuse knowledge without a single care?

Anyhow, the point of this topic is, that you gotta change something. If you want a clean gameplay then make it clean. If it means trashing everyone's clips (so people can see they're not supposed to do that) and issuing infractions then why not start doing it?
If however you're cool with them abusing a bug which makes your update pointless - then undo the update and let us have the old gameplay without any kind of forced reload animations, and consider publicly allowing players to abuse everything there is, since you're already doing it kinda.

Videos / cop work

I had some old recordings (some even from last year) so I decided to make a video before deleting all of it. I'm not really that good at editing, but I'm familiar with the basics. Anyways, it's a cop video, has some rustler flying and onfoot fighting..it's a bit longer than I wanted it to be, and the recording software fucked up the quality, but I'd say it's not THAT awful. Also, most of the clips are recorded before the reloading animation update rolled in, so I guess you'll be happy to see some normal fights again =)

Fixed Bugs / Stuck in cuffing animation

I was unable to get out off the cuffing animation once the suspect escaped, as seen on the video. https://streamable.com/23ldq

When you start the cuffing there is a brief second until the actual animation starts and it looks like he managed to escape before that animation started, which interupted the step back (as you can see, the step back animation started but then it stopped and went to cuffing..this is how it should look like: https://streamable.com/f6vpw). Not really sure if that's where the issue is, it just caught my eye..

Also, this happened only once (so far).

Cops are already vulnerable enough with the cuffing and arrest animation(especially with all these gangs in this server, there's always one or two or even five players that will shoot you down if you try to go for an arrest)..this animation though, the "knockdown" when the player breaks out of your cuffs is too much. I'd like to see it get completely removed, because the 2 previously mentioned animations cops need to endure are more than enough, but if it for some reason must stay at least drastically lower the chances of suspects breaking free.

Don't get me wrong, animations look great and the whole system fits nicely, but because of the high headshot damage and the long durations of all these animations this simply cannot be here.

Below you will find a video of why this should be done..pay attention to his health, and my health+armor and the outcome of me trying to do a "proper" job. You may say I'm unlucky, but these things happen too often and are a pain in the ass.

Rejected Suggestions / Making PM and Whisper lines stick out

With all the spam happening around main chat, it's really hard to notice messages coming from your teammates. Would be nice to see /pm and /w somehow stick out. Doesn't really matter how, as long as you're able to catch the msg without having to read everything.

Few examples on how to do that: highlighting the text, changing text to a different colour which doesn't show up often in chat or making the whole line(both the receiver and the message) same colour.

It's annoying when you crash your wing and you're nowhere close to the airport, so you're basically forced to go back and waste a couple of minutes just so you can fly properly again..
Title pretty much says everything - being able to use vehicle repair kits on aircrafts, the same way we can use them for ground vehicles. Using the same one or making a special one for aircrafts, doesn't really matter, as long as we're able to carry one in case of an emergency.

not sure if you had a chat with the guys yet, but here's 10 more videos, yes 10 more of the same stuff.. pausing, f8ing to mislead me from the road, to avoid a car crash and taking damage or to avoid getting lag pitted out of the bike.. just a sidenote, all of this(except the last clip, but that one took place at the start of the next week) happened in a single game week..so if you sum it up you get 12 videos recorded in only 2 game weeks..it's quite clear this is what they do all the time and obviously not just on me.

now, i don't wanna be a dick and tell you how to deal with stuff, but i'll just say that friendly little warnings and chats don't have effect on shit tier players..trust me, i know.

Rejected Suggestions / Rustlers for both civilians and cops

I believe I read something similar somewhere on these forums before, but it was ignored/passed unseen. Rustlers should be avaliable to everyone(or, at the very least the people who played for x amount of time or have x amount of score, in case you want to prevent new guys dming).
As of right now, we are unable to chase people in mavericks, dodos or similar aircrafts..sure, we can follow them and hope they run out of fuel soon, but that isn't really a fun experience. Having it restricted to army only is imo a wrong way to go..not only because of the thing i mentioned, but because of all the different things that are possible to do with it(missions, dogfights, tunnel/under bridge challenges, fast travel etc).

Personally, i would love to see some sort of air missions for rustlers..whether it be a simple delivery mission or maybe something similar to the one with maverick we already have(flying through red circles).

I prefer flying over driving and i'm sure i'm not the only one, but unfortunately having to get lvl100 and rank 10 to get access to it is a bit too much..not to mention civilians not even having a chance.

tldr, allowing both civilians and cops to use rustlers(maybe with some minimum requirements to prevent newly registered accounts dming) would bring a lot of fun around here.

Fixed Bugs / Unable to change back to civilian

I'm currently a mechanic. When i go to change skin at the clothes store, the only skins i can choose from are 3 mechanic skins. I was told to go off-duty and then try, but when I try to do it, on the checkpoint at xoomer, I click on yes and nothing happens. No message, alert, notifications..nothing at all. I had this same issue a week ago when I decided to test out the mechanic skin and I'm still stuck with it.

I tried switching to a cop at police department, and I was able to do it. But, when i go off duty as a cop i instantly get back to the on-duty mechanic.

So, long story short, as a mechanic i'm unable to go off duty and change skin/job to a normal regular civilian.
