No need of it. If the person is not ready, he should not go inside/outside buildings. Its totally unfair that 1 guy can shoot the others without getting damaged because he got in/out a building recently.

I think that is maybe a bug since it does not make sense that you have spawn protection + can cause damage to the rest of them

spawn protection is a must but it should be equal for both sides. SP = no damage for both sides

ye sometimes the script doesnt work properly so the person who is under spawn protection can do damage but doesnt receive it

Okay it's a bug but, why not remove this feature completely?

to stop spawn killing, some players get frozen for a bit when entering / exiting checkpoints or interiors, leaving them vulnerable, hence the spawn protection

Reason for this is that higher ping laggy players need more time to load assets and require a longer freeze so they don't fall through the map (mcnr used a lot of custom mapped interiors)

but i do believe the temporary spawn protection should be removed once either the protected player attacks or commits a weapon threat, whichever the server detects first cause i do agree that those 3 seconds of being able to attack and not take damage is busted af

i would like to keep this in place, but i agree to changing how the system works to what i said above

I do think its actually a problem cause people been abusing it by entering / exiting buildings before fight. I honestly think it should be completely remove (players will have to think twice before entering buildings due to the vulnerability of course) or reduce the timer greatly to 1 or 2 seconds just to give a minimum protection.

I am against completely removing it but rather checking as someone previously mentioned if the player has fired any shots. Keep in mind there are a lot of players from faraway countries(Paki, USA, Brazil...) that this could be a big issue to. Worst case scenario, halve the spawn protection, but a big no-no to removing it.
