to stop spawn killing, some players get frozen for a bit when entering / exiting checkpoints or interiors, leaving them vulnerable, hence the spawn protection
Reason for this is that higher ping laggy players need more time to load assets and require a longer freeze so they don't fall through the map (mcnr used a lot of custom mapped interiors)
but i do believe the temporary spawn protection should be removed once either the protected player attacks or commits a weapon threat, whichever the server detects first cause i do agree that those 3 seconds of being able to attack and not take damage is busted af
i would like to keep this in place, but i agree to changing how the system works to what i said above
