A lot of players are abusing this. They reach 10 HP, jump towards the supply drop, and get full HP and armor instantly. This should be nerfed in my opinion. So add a 10 second cooldown, please.

Any thoughts? Y'all are gonna hate if there's a nerf in the supply drop. Not a surprise.

I do actually think people rely on supply drops far too much, and they are too good.

I think I might make them similar to Call of Duty care packages where you have to stand next to them and hold/bash a button to open them, with an animation and stuff, so you can't just do what you described and run into them mid-gunfight and suddenly get full health and armour. Maybe make it take 5 seconds or so to collect a supply drop.

I also think the health (and maybe armour) should increase gradually and not instantly.

I also think they should be more expensive to lessen their value and reliance on them to get you out of every situation every time.

Perhaps also the bag could be shot once it's landed, so people could destroy a supply drop. And part of me is actually rethinking a recent suggestion of allowing players to shoot supply drops while they are decending (and after I guess) but make it take a few shots.

That all being said, I don't want to kill supply drops or make them useless. But I never intended for them to be a pretty-much-guaranteed get out of jail free card.

I'll unlock this topic as I want community feedback on these points.

3 secs will be enough if u got attacked and want to get supply drop coz sometimes u call flare on ground surface and u r on the roof and it will simply take too much time for to pick it

Yep, adding a 5-second animation with infos like "Taking Weapons..." then "Equipping Armor..." then "Taking Health..." will make it more realistic than now and also solves the current problem.

dude u making everything complicated ngl, just as new additions and script editing

let it be the way it is and bring back other code (spawning a vehicle for example, its taking atleast 20 secs to fix and spawn a vehicle, cops are no longer spawning in dillimore after death or other pds, lets say u killed a cop inside pd and u trying to breakout ur friend, if u fail once, the second attempt u gonna be in the breakout animation and the cop u killed on u already)

as a criminal u gonna notice such things cuz u have to be as quick as possible to escape while u r low in everything

so yeah, u gotta wait the drop for 30 secs and then u gonna pick it up in 5 secs and also health and armour gonna increase gradually?

the cop u killed gonna be in ur ass in less than this time

u gotta look at these things from both sides, and I think u should ask @Cashewz for example before adding things up, not to control u or what to add and remove in ur server, just to update u about what people likes and what they don't like

I'm not someone who clutches fights with drops, but I see it as another criminal nerf. If you compare the number of criminals and cops who use drops, it's obvious who is getting nerfed more by this suggestion. Totally wrong direction of thinking.

yeah and fill the server memory by adding useless textdraw that'll serve no fucking purpose.
a) It would probably be gametext instead of a textdraw
b) A couple of textdraws doesn't use 10GB of RAM
c) You could say the same for many textdraws that exist
