Police scanner (interceptor)

A police radio interceptor (scanner) - Would be a neat little feature that could be useful for criminals on the server. This feature would allow criminals to intercept communications between cops, with this item being purchasable from the black market (maybe weapon dealers, when they're added). This would mean cops, would need to be very careful on what they say in cop radio, and could also add in a little feature where it allows criminals to see cops on the radar. Even if they're using the cia/fbi/swat skins that have lower visibility.

This item would be a limited item, where it takes 2 - 3 game days for stock to replenish if you're arrested it gets confiscated. Purchase price, could be around $10,000? or depending on what happens response wise to this post, maybe lower... maybe higher.

Yes it can alert me but i dont think that will help in a 4v1.
besides no one in cop chat usually talks there its just people requesting a shooter/ asking to join a team

It's a great idea @Karbz but remember cops also use groups so I'd like to believe that it'll be pointless having this feature when everyone could just /g and chat there instead.

Cops mostly use whisper, shout or group chat which makes buying such a device a waste of money.
I'd say maybe you could add some spice to it like being able to chat on the radio as well, no innocent can buy nor use the device or if you buy it you instantly get wanted level or maybe no wanted level unless used.. etc
Also if the player got arrested with that device especially if it's bought from the black market, they should not be able to get it back unless they break the evidence locker.

• Searching for a team
• Recruiting
• Requesting backup
• Asking other cops to rush in a specific place
• Asking other cops to track a specific criminal
• Sharing plans and tactics

Just like you say, a 24/7 cop dont have any idea about being a civ so you dont know anything about civ, theres a chance that civ can see/ read cops private group. (Idk if its a bug or "we civs" are just close to the dying cop, close to a police veh or in it, in police dept).
