Simply revamp the Vehicle Colors menu, for both donators usage of the command and the menu option in the gas station UI. As it is currently, you have to change or remember what color you used for the first car color option before you can choose a new secondary color. There could be a new menu that's simply "Change Both Colors, Change Car Color 1, Change Car Color 2" and also add a new option "Change Car Paint" to change the Livery of car for cars like Elegy and what not just for donators usage of the command.

I'll need to test again to find out what truck was specifically causing issues, but the bug report is missing the part in my OP where I mentioned playing as a cop while driving a truck that has the illegal cargo attached causes your chat to flood with messages.

Yes, but this is only possible if there's even one single unoccupied stolen car, and there often isn't especially when the server player count is low at some given time.

Without working missions the mechanic just doesn't have a lot to do if nobody needs their cars fixed or sold items to.

Ok, it might've been that certain truck models are more tall than the others, so that makes it difficult for them in particular to fit through the garage. I didn't record it at the time so I don't remember what truck we used in particular, but it caused a real buggy mess when we were trying to drive it thru the LSPD garage.

Cops who manage to retrieve a truck carrying illegal cargo are flooded with messages in their chat to take it to the police impound. This is impossible because the truck and its whole trailer cannot fit through any garage door, and the message prompting you to return it to the impound should only be occurring once. Additionally the checkpoint to impound the cargo should be moved to outside the garages to account for the sheer size of the truck and trailer.

As the title says, Car Nitro that you can carry around in your inventory, since in GTA it's depicted as something that's small enough to store. Mechanics or the NPC mechanics at gas stations could sell this to you. If there are concerns about it, it could be limited to only the 2X or 5X Nitro and a fair limit to how much you can carry, but otherwise the 10X Nitro would be included.

Once you have it, you can simply open up your /inv while in a car to apply the Nitro.

This can be helpful because: you can install Nitro yourself into any car you might have (especially for cars you just need to drive for missions), and also refill the Nitro in your car quickly. Saves a trip to the NPC mechanic.

Mechanics should have more frequent opportunities given by the game to do their job, even outside of "mission hours". Not sure if this ties into the bug report I made recently, but I still want to post it.

Basically, any unoccupied car that's never been touched out in the game world could randomly be either marked "Damaged" (including random cosmetic damage or engine damage to the body) or simply be flagged Stolen. These can only occur while a Mechanic is on duty and they can respond to those. There can randomly be one car or a whole batch of cars included in this, and they can count towards Mechanic achievement progression. There could also be a new thing for this: NPC Police requesting a tow truck to bring away a criminal's car to either the gas station or the police impound. These cars are selected from vehicles that can be tuned at shops not TransFender, so like randomly tuned Elegy cars and what not. They randomly spawn at nearby shops and provide a "Modified car" bonus when taken away like the scrap machine does.

Often the ability to just search for a car to tow is something that's at the mercy of the server's activity at the time, most players are driving their own legally owned cars so the chance to actually hook up cars to the tow truck and bring them to the gas station is rare, and geeting a "Consecutive bonus" even more rare. When there are not a lot of people online at some given hour, Mechanics have *nothing* to do.

Approved Suggestions / Allow spectating after death in staff event

Suggestion: Simply allow regular players to make use of a spectate option after dying in a staff event. This would work like the admin's spectate but restricted to the players within the event, and players would begin to spectate the host by default. If limitations don't allow for it, restrict to spectating the host only. Admins could bring players out of spectate to spawn them right back into the event and also it can be toggled off in its settings optionally. Additionally, admins can place players in this version of spectate within the event while they're alive. The player can cancel it, but a small dialog box would tell them that they will return to the main world upon doing so.

Just would like to see the rest of the event play out, like for example Hide and Seek, Dodge the Shamal, etc. without necessarily returning to the main world. It could also prevent people goofing off in certain DM events.

As for the original suggestion of the police heli, I don't see a reason why it shouldn't be requestable, but maybe for a fee.

Fair compromise. Convenient access to an armored fast heli is super useful even if it's unarmed.

About the pursuit vehicles, I really do enjoy having access to spike strips and "proper" police vehicles like the FBI Truck are fun to drive. Idk, it's difficult to consider for the issue at large.

Suggestion: When robbing any store in San Andreas, to spice up the robbing experience all store / restaurant / etc. cashiers that are not blocked off with a barrier could have a chance to retaliate against robbing players. At any point during their "giving money" animation they could stop it and instead pull out a regular Shotgun to open fire at the player. Since robberies happen at fairly close range it could prove dangerous and I think it would add extra risks to the robberies in a fun way. You would then have to fire back at the cashier committing a violent crime that brings you up to six stars, but the robbery payout would be increased by a fairly big amount. Both the retaliation chance and the bonus could be up for debate. Somewhat like the GTA Online store robbery experience, and also inspired by the fact that the GTASA mission "Ryder" has the pizza guy armed with a Shotgun. The cashier would have a certain amount of health like the bank vault guard and they must be killed before they can kill the player.

Example: Player robs the Well Stacked Pizza Co. restaurant. in Idlewood. The cashier retaliates against the player with a Shotgun in the middle of his animation, inflicting damage against the robber in attempt to kill them. Player then fires back to kill the cashier, resulting in the typical cashier robbery amount + a bonus. It would be like "You fought back against the retaliating cashier! Robbery payout increased to $10,387."

I'd say the Premier car could be upgraded to a Buffalo in /JV to fit with how it becomes a police car in future GTA titles and it's second to the Bullet performance-wise when not considering the Hotring racecar. So not necessarily an incredible car to put there or all of them, just a reasonable unlock imo. I agree cops are fairly strong as they are, but it's reasonable to think that stuff will happen in the future that could balance things out. I don't think having convenient access to an armored unarmed heli is disastrous to the game's balance. shrug

Those undercover cars are not just good for their armor, they have the blip mechanic and spike strips which are very useful in certain situations.

Suggestion: Allow any police officer to call for a Police Maverick through the /jv menu at rank 8. This would make it match up with the other public service jobs since they can call for helicopters of their own. Sometimes people take the available police helis at the police department and admin assistance would be needed to respawn them or you would have to wait a while for them to respawn naturally. At rank 10, allow any police officer to call for any law enforcement vehicle through /jv. For example SWAT could call for FBI Trucks, normal cops could call for Enforcers, and so forth.
