Game crashes
Introduction
Game crashes can be extremely frustrating. Fortunately, most crashes have a fix available.
Mods
Game modifications are known to cause problems. The first thing to try if you're having crashes is to uninstall your mods or do a full clean reinstall of the game.
You can then reinstall mods one-by-one and if the problem reoccurs this will allow you to narrow it down to a single mod (or combination of mods).
However, feel free to try the below first as they are less destructive.
gta_sa.set
Some crashes can be fixed by deleting your game's configuration file. This can be located in 'C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files' or equivalent.
This file stores game configuation such as graphics settings and keybinds. Deleting it will reset these things. Deleting will not affect single-player game saves.
Rename GTA SA folder
A strange fix for some crashes can be to simply rename the game's folder/directory. The folder can usually be found in Program Files.
Vehicle density / Limit adjuster
GTA SA is a very old game designed to run on very old hardware with strict limits on the number of objects/vehicles etc. it can render. It is a common issue that when players enter areas with lots of vehicles, or lots of different models of vehicles, their game is more likely to crash.
These crashes are typically rare, and can be fixed with a 'limit adjuster' asi mod:
https://github.com/ThirteenAG/III.VC.SA.LimitAdjuster/releases
Download III.VC.SA.LimitAdjuster.zip from the 'Assets' list and put the above files in your GTA:SA game directory.
You'll need an asi loader too, see here (https://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=21709).
If this still doesn't help, and you keep crashing in the same area of the map, corroborate with other players, test and confirm, and then report the issue.
You could ask staff to clear vehicles in the area which might help.
crashes.asi
Crashes.asi can be found here: https://github.com/Whitetigerswt/gtasa_crashfix/releases
It is known to fix many issues.
NOTE: You should not increase the FPS limit with crashes.asi. If you have more than 120FPS detected you'll get kicked!

Other crashes
If the above methods don't resolve your crashing, Google the issue and see what you can find. It's likely others have encountered the same issue(s).
If you still experience crashes after trying the above, please reply below and staff and the community can try to assist.
