Actually it depends on pc specifications, but I'm using NVIDIA Shadow Play for recording gameplay,so far never had noticeable fps drop while recording . I've used fraps and bandicam ,personally I like Shadow Play more, but as I said ,it depends on PC spec, some of older graphic card doesn't support shadow play

If you have a low PC and don't mind a watermark, Gecata by Movavi is something for you.

Dxtory is best recorder for low pc, it dont takes too much fps just a little

fraps for low end pc, try dxtory or bandicam if you have a "medium" pc

otherway around, fraps needs more power

nvidia shadowplay is only available to nvidia GTX machines if you have a lower end gpu without "GTX" in it or an AMD gpu u wont be able to download and use it.OBS isn't a good option for low end hardware therefore i wouldn't recommend.Despite of it being a top tier recording software it is not well optimized for the low end.Dxtory is decent for lowend as its really customizable with config files, the ability to tweak settings to your preference in detail etc.. Fraps is also really decent however it doesnt offer the ability to configure much but i must say that its well optimized for low end.I havent used bandicam much but from what i know its a really bad recording software that no one recommends.

to conclude id suggest trying out fraps and dxtory, ditch the rest.(shadowplay is really good too if you have a gtx card however assuming u dont have something of that nature id recommend sticking to fraps and dxtory)

I'd suggest you use OBS and NVIDIA ShadowPlay (If you're using NVIDIA GPU.)

For low end PCs:
dxtory, bandicam (if only you know how to configure it right) and last but not least fraps for low end PC.

Use handbreak Program to Convert/Compress Videos which are recorded by Fraps since fraps is good at recording and it does takes a lot of space on your HDD.

However, Try to use dxtory because fraps has one downside, FPS drops when the recording starts.
Cheers!
