Audio Plugin - Information & Download

(1/1)

Mike:

Audio plugin

Introduction
The audio plugin is a plugin for SA-MP that allows servers to play custom sounds to players, which is not usually possible. One of the main uses is to use boomboxes and headphones, which cannot be used without the audio plugin. There are also other various uses, such as specific weapon reload sounds for picking up weapons, train crossing bells, aircraft GPWS sounds (pull up, too low etc.) and lots more.

Monetary Incentive
To encourage the use of the audio plugin, there is a cash reward every day that you use it. This is currently $1,000 per day.

Download and Installation
Here is the download link for the latest version of the Audio Plugin, from GitHub:
https://github.com/samp-incognito/samp-audio-client-plugin/releases/download/v0.5-r2/samp-audio-client-plugin-v0.5-r2.exe

You cannot install the audio plugin while SA-MP is running. Please close your game first.

Simply run this .exe and it will install to your GTA: San Andreas directory (it should automatically detect the location of your game install; if it does not, specify it when prompted).
It should take a matter of seconds to install, with no additional steps required.
Once installed, head in-game, and if it has worked you should see a green message in chat confirming it is connected.
You can check if the plugin is connected at any time with /audio (note that it will take a few seconds to connect when you join the server).
You must ensure your game radio volume is on to hear the audio plugin sounds. If you don't want the radio in vehicles to be on you can change it in /settings (audio plugin category) or type '/setradio off'.

Known Issues
There is an issue with the audio plugin if multiple players have the same IP. The first player to connect to the audio plugin fine, but any other players with the same IP address will be unable to connect. There is no known fix or workaround for this unfortunately.

The installer will replace your vorbisFile.dll in your game directory. If you have a modded vorbisFile.dll it is advised that you back it up first and replace it after installing the audio plugin. This is known to break the 'widescreen fix' but it has not been confirmed to break anything else. Reverting vorbisFile.dll to its original pre-audio-plugin-install state does not seem to affect the audio plugin in any way.

Additional Help
Any issues, please post below and we'll do our best to help. Thanks!

A small deepnote for people who are using hardened firewalls, you must allow
--- Code: ---gta_sa.exe
--- End code ---
to connect to
--- Code: ---play.mikescnr.com:7777
--- End code ---

While i don't think majority of you guys don't have this problem, it may save a few minutes off of a person trying to get it working.
