A notice regarding quit to avoid
« on: April 20, 2020, 12:09:47 am »
Players in MCNR must never quit to avoid a situation, such as getting a bounty placed.

If it is an invalid bounty, report it to staff so we can investigate.

The bounty should be removed immediately. If it is determined it was a valid bounty, cash can be refunded to the hitting player, and if it is believed to be malicious, the reporting player can be infracted up to 3 points for abusing our system for dealing with this.

Evidence should be a video ideally, especially if you were about to claim the kill. Screenshots may not provide enough evidence for us to resolve the complaint in your favor.

Police quitting to avoid being killed by criminals hurts/benefits neither side, but it is still annoying, so they can be punished, at staff discretion.

Same goes for criminals quitting to avoid being killed by a cop.

Players with bounties that really need to leave should have the decency to get far away from other players before quitting the game. Punishments can still be handed down however, especially if you were actively being chased. Quitting the game then coming back almost immediately is grounds for a punishment, as it is certainly quit to avoid.

Crashes/timeouts will not be included. They are completely separate problems and out of the players control.
