Server economy

The state of server economy is chaos at the moment. After buying 24 vehicles, 5 houses. My cash just keeps stacking up, even while spending huge amounts on weapons.

There must be done some changes in the server, so people wouldn't hoard money, like some do. Avoiding tax is easy when you hold the cash in your hand, if you reach over 10m. I'd like to see economy system, where your deaths would impact lot your money, even as cops. Something related to life insurance would be perfect.
It could have affect to players, who like to deathmatch alot. There should be more ways to make cash. Some things will eventually need buffing/nerfing. Mostly jobs in that case.
I'd like to see aswell stock market. Bank robbiers damaging players cash. Wealth tax should apply on pocket aswell, if your player wealth has increased over 10 million. Thats where the safe would come in the play. Would force players to keep cash in safes, or invest them in stocks.
That would lead players buying houses, and keep protecting them.

In the state the server is right now, clearly feels like im playing DM friendly cnr server. The server is still in beta, soon or later it will have lot of changes anyways.

I just think right now we got too much money making ways and they award too much cash and none of that cash really flows out. On top of that most of the best money earners are as easy to do as pissing against the wind. We got stuff like taxes which are great because they literally rip the money out of the players hand if they want it or not and that's a great system, but rn it's a joke, barely applies to anyone and even if it does, doesn't take shit from them.

Stuff like cars are also too fast and  too easy to get, Banshee is one of the top 3 or 4 cars and is unlocked at like lvl 13 and can be bought after a few bank robberies, I mean what a joke. Unlock system needs to be properly re-arranged and on top of that make it a bit harder to get those max levels, make it exponential so you can't get it within a week of playing the server like 2-3 hours a day.

So, I think Mike & the gang should consider doing something following the lines of:
- Decide what will be the "main" method of money making or what would be considered a "rich" player. I'd recommend a rich player to have around 3 mil cash.
- Rebalance the legal jobs/missions such as trucking, pizza etc. that can be done w/o any player interaction. If a player would to do a shit load of this set (whatever kind) job, they wouldn't still be rich.
- Start doing the illegal jobs, make it so in a per hourly rate they would pay around 1.8x then the legal jobs. That would be to balance out the fact that they are in a risk of fighting/getting caught by the police.
- Make the final heists, such as bank or a casino or whatever. Make them fucking hard, so let's say in a in-game week it can only happen maybe 2-3 times, but they would obviously award a decent size of cash.
- Place the taxes at a reasnoble place. Place them so when a player has above like 400k, they start getting taxed a decent amount. I can't say exact %, since it would be best based off of their income, so if the player is just driving around, they don't get taxed like 20%, that would be dumb, if they actively rob, work, whatever, they'll have taxes that actually matter. Then hiding cash in your safe will be a decent idea.
- Re-do the leveling system. Cap it at 100 levels, that's fine, but make it fucking harder to get there. I remember I got in like a week of playing 2-3 hours a day, it's a joke. Make it so the highest levels only get achieved after like 200 maybe in-game hours of activity.
- Balance out the unlocks on the leveling system, keep cop job for only like level 10 or 20+ people (since it wont take 1 hour to get this level anymore). Make the best of cars at higher levels, not at lvl 13 get a banshee and you're done.
- Make the costs of vehicles fucking higher, infernus price is 140k, rn that's fucking 8 bank robberies or some shit, complete joke. Can't tell exact prices, depends on the above said.
- Balance out the house costs.
- Don't give a shit load of cash for achievements, remember to balance those as well.
- Continue developing new stuff for housing, stuff like drugs, hell knows what else.

Pro tip: You can make the taxes like X % smaller for donators, just another reason to donate.

Hi,

I definitely agree that the server economy is awful. Things need to be shifted around, more illegal jobs need to be created to balance things out. Legal jobs shouldn't make as much as illegal (of course), but they should make quite a bit more cash than they currently do. I know that implements have been made to make things more decently spreaded around, but even with these great new missions (Pizza, Smuggler, Mailman) most people still just rob the bank. I honestly really enjoy doing the legal missions, I can't say I have tried them all. However, Pizza and Mail are a great way to make some quick cash without looking over your shoulder about the police. I think investing in businesses (maybe even being able to own them??), and getting a return on the money they make or loss (maybe make it so you always earn a little bit?? idk). Also, @MLGERROR, great idea on the investing in stocks. I think that would be a great way to earn money. I also think maybe more missions that are illegal but rewarding (that gets the clusterfuck at the bank gone) would help. But overall, things do need to cost quite a bit more. In my opinion if you have over 500k, a house or two and a few cars.. you are set. You will have a rough time running through all that even without missions. Things need a pay bump, and we need more ways to make money. Houses need more use, (boombox is a great starter point!). The tricky thing will be making this all even, but I think we can all agree it is way too easy to make money illegally and be set for life.

Main points: More illegal jobs (not necessarily heists, maybe drug dealer, drug plants inside house or outside of it that cops can detect), more ways to make money legally and make a decent living (so that we stop gang banging the bank 24/7), making things more expensive (especially guns and cars).

Good point making cash, but we would need more opinions to get cash affected negatively.

I agree. I think there should be more ways to make cash, but cash from all ways should be lowered.. to make everything else equal. If there are 10 diff reasonably equal-ish ways to make 100k in an hour and a half, why would everyone do the same thing. That's my thinking anyhow, more ways to make money and making it more balanced overall. Obviously, illegal jobs should pay a little bit more than everything else.. as you are risking jail time. But, to make 25k doing bank in 6 mins, vs doing pizza for 5 minutes and making 3k... there's something wrong there.

Edit: added "from all ways" :)

I mean, balancing them out is one thing, but we should halve if not more the current level of cash, right now "rich people" would be counted at around 10mil, maybe even 15. We should cut that down a lot and then balance it out, because working with these humungous numbers will really look retarded after a wile, so people get used to feeling a bit rich around having 800k, not feeling rich around 6 mil.
It's like all the numbers need to be devided by 3 (not minding the current cash that is)
