Getting arrested after being killed

Hello, it happened today that I got killed by a criminal and got arrested, found out that a cop was nearby so that was the cause.

I suggest to remove this thing, once you get killed by a criminal, get respawned somewhere else, that cop didn't do anything to take me down

Maybe make it so that a cop has to put some damage on the player for the player to be jailed?

Maybe make it as though, when a suspect is "being chased" or puts damage of any kind on a criminal.. it leads to prison. I think what Wassaby is saying is, even though a cop is not really nearby at all (maybe like 200meters away) you automatically go to prison if you die, even without the cop actively doing anything.

Cops have to be within 100m for this to happen. That's pretty Close. For reference, the LSPD exterior is around 100m from side-to-side.

Looking at the code though, it would appear I made it randomly jail ORANGE players 1 in 5 times even if a cop isn't nearby. I'll remove this. It will stay for MW though, with a 1 in 3 chance even if a cop wasn't nearby (you're most wanted, the hospitals will know who you are and report you).

I don't think this 100m thing works properly, today my friend got jailed after I killed him without any cops nearby, I checked that

Thanks for your reply! I'm confused on what you mean by encourage dm? This post has nothing to do with deathmatching. We aren't talking about encouraging or discouraging DM.. (as long as it's in the rules ). Can you explain what you mean, as this doesn't seem relevant to this post in any way. Thanks!

Cops would be incentivised to shoot criminals that are fleeing, which is against the rules.
