Halloween Update 2019

The first MCNR annual Halloween event is here!

Every year MCNR will be celebrating Halloween with a variety of events and activities which everyone can enjoy. This year marks the first year MCNR has launched a Halloween update, and in fact the first time any sort of holiday-themed update has been made!

Activities to participate in and enjoy this Halloween include:

  • Pumpkin hunt: Find pumpkins scattered around San Andreas to earn candy and get prizes. The more pumpkins you find, the better the prizes!
  • Magic cauldron: Visit the magic cauldron between midnight and 6am in-game time to claim a random prize. This can be claimed once a real-world day.
  • Trick or treating: Knock (or ring) on any property door to trick or treat to earn candy and some special prizes too. Mind out for the tricks!
  • Player possession: Get possessed by the Cauldron, while trick-or-treating or by other players. Pass it on to other players with the player interaction menu!
Visit the Magic Cauldron every day for a random prize! See /CAULDRON for more information and to find the cauldron in the active city.

Halloween activity prizes include:

  • Special clothing items (new clothing system!)
  • Cash and score
  • Weapons and ammo
  • Health and armour
  • Candy (see below)
  • and more surprises!

Halloween candy
A form of special currency if you like, Halloween candy is used to measure how involved (and lucky) players have been in the Halloween event. You earn candy for all the various Halloween-themed activities and especially from trick-or-treating! At the end of the event, the 10 players with the most candy will receive large in-game cash prizes as a reward for their achievements! See /candyhelp in-game for prize info.

Visit properties to trick or treat and get candy, special clothing items or a surprise or two in the form of a ‘trick’!

NEW: CLOTHING SYSTEM
Also in this update, we have added a new clothing and accessories system with hundreds of items waiting to be purchased from clothes stores around San Andreas. Type ‘/gps clothes’ to find your closest store!
You can access your clothing inventory through your regular inventory menu (/inv or via the interaction menu by holding Y) or via /clothes.

Clothing items include glasses, hats and helmets, watches, special equipment, weapons and tools, masks, bandanas, holsters, police equipment and much more!

FIX HIGHLIGHTS…

  • Fixed issue with slide-bug detection if player aimed while sprinting and velocity was still high after aiming begun. There is now a 1 second grace period from when you aim to slide detection.
  • Properties with inactive owners (not online for over a month (28 days)) will now be sold to make them available for other players.
  • Fixed an issue where an unsuitable vehicle could be stored in any garage if it was replacing another vehicle already stored in the garage.
  • Fixed server-sided damage values sometimes not being used and the default GTA values being used. This was causing the hunter/hydra/rhino rockets to not deal any damage to players on foot.
  • Cop tazer is now holstered when going off duty.
